This park is only interested in taking your money- there is no active management or even apparent interest. Fees are collected at the roadhouse- you are shown a map and told to "choose a site". The map is misleading and resulted in disputes amongst caravanners regarding location of sites. The number of amenities is inadequate for the number of campers... More

All sites are red dirt. We paid $30 powered for 2 adults. Amenities ok. Peacock and other wild life roam around. Road house has food as well as fuel. Average staff friendliness. Fuel and food very expensive but you are in the middle of nowhere. Fuel cheaper at Pardoo Roadhouse.

We had a brilliant night here at Sandfire. The sites are nice and shady but you have to get in early for a powered site. On walking around we saw dozens of geese, peacocks including some albinos! There was a very sleepy bull in one paddock and a slightly aggressive camel in another. The amenities are good and the service... More

Stopping at Sandfire Roadhouse on the way through to Broome or Port Hedland is always a welcome break! Nice area to have snacks at and there are always peacocks cruising around for something to see. Keep in mind fuel and food is very expensive here due to the remoteness of the place!

We travelled from kunnanura and booked day before as road house closes at 7 pm. If you pay with your credit card in advance they leave the door open and the key in the room for you. We stayed in a family room with double and two singles ( bunk beds). Cost $140 without breakfast. Beds were clean soap and... More

I was left to sleep in the car because their website had the wrong closing time, when I tried to talk to them they didnt bother coming outside like they told me they would. Not really what you expect from a place thats so isolated from everything

We stopped through here with motorcycles and tents. The staff are very friendly and nice to deal with after enduring nearly 45C on the road. The unpowered camping area is a red dirt area put the front near the mango plantation. It has sections that are too hard for tent pegs and other sections that are too soft, so I... More

Stopped here for the night having driven from Hall's Creek earlier. Definitely a good place to stop and rest. The motel rooms although small are clean and well enough appointed for a single night and the staff were friendly.A single room cost $120 a night. The whole place is well maintained and tidy. I have no problem recommending Sandfire.

Called in here while travelling North and stopped overnight in a motel style unit. The units were old, but appeared to have been recently upgraded. We had a small ensuite, good water pressure, an old but effective air-conditioner, clean bedding and a clean unit. Staff were friendly and obliging. Dinner in the Roadhouse was great. My wife had a lamb... More

We arrived at Sandfire Roadhouse on a very hot day and chose and Donga with aircon. At $30 a head the room was small with 2 single beds, but the aircon worked very well and we settled in for the afternoon. Sitting in shade at the front of the Roadhouse there was continuous traffic coming and going during the afternoon.... More
