We did not stay at the roadhouse but we stopped for something to eat and drink. Do not bother, prices are outrageous and the customer service....there is none. The woman behind the counter was abrupt and unfriendly. The sausage rolls look great, but you are reminded of them for the rest of the day. Coffee is, pour your own, there... More

Here for the first time on a work trip. Staying in the ensuite a/c single dongas with television and little fridge, feels like paradise when you're out in the middle of nowhere. Going out bush tomorrow for two nights camping with no amenities so this is pure luxury. Had dinner pre-arranged tonight, corned beef and veges, very nice. Just one... More

A very welcome place to stop on the way to Broome. The motel accommodation is very clean though older style, the van sites are large and have power etc and the campsites are very shady and level. The meals were very nice and quite large. Cold drinks are available. The peacocks and other animals make this haven a pleasure

Pretty good perk with cash only for fuel. Has efpos machine but bowsers have cash only on them. We paid 153.7 a litre we paid $103.10 cash should of only put 20 in to get us up the road to Pardoo where it was 143.9 yes a lot of difference in price and only 130kms apart. Remember to ask for... Intersting stopover with many Australian road signs in the outdoor dining area. Great for OS tourists. Friendly aussies serving up good home cooked food. Neatly presented despite the red dirt drive way

There are a lot of animals around from birds the flying type too peacocks, cows and kangaroos. Fuel is expensive the caravan sight are red dirt no grass to be found. The road house seems to be run by backpackers but you can buy a cold drink and get food if you have too.

This park is only interested in taking your money- there is no active management or even apparent interest. Fees are collected at the roadhouse- you are shown a map and told to "choose a site". The map is misleading and resulted in disputes amongst caravanners regarding location of sites. The number of amenities is inadequate for the number of campers... More

All sites are red dirt. We paid $30 powered for 2 adults. Amenities ok. Peacock and other wild life roam around. Road house has food as well as fuel. Average staff friendliness. Fuel and food very expensive but you are in the middle of nowhere. Fuel cheaper at Pardoo Roadhouse.

We had a brilliant night here at Sandfire. The sites are nice and shady but you have to get in early for a powered site. On walking around we saw dozens of geese, peacocks including some albinos! There was a very sleepy bull in one paddock and a slightly aggressive camel in another. The amenities are good and the service... More

Stopping at Sandfire Roadhouse on the way through to Broome or Port Hedland is always a welcome break! Nice area to have snacks at and there are always peacocks cruising around for something to see. Keep in mind fuel and food is very expensive here due to the remoteness of the place!
