I spent a week at the Whitesbeach Guesthouse and had a wonderful time. We stayed in the Garden Suite West, which is perfect for a couple. Do not let the shared bathroom put you off: this is not the issue you may think it could be. Everything was immaculately presented and clearly crafted to maximise peace and relaxation. The Guesthouse itself is excellent. The bed was great, the showers perfect, the pool was amazing. There are ample tables, chairs, and lounges around. The gardens are beautifully landscaped. Numerous facilities are provided for various kinds of cooking. There is a playground and sand pit for children, as well as the 'safari' for them to explore. It is the small details that elevate the place above very good to excellent. Music piped through the common areas, ample spare towels available by the pool. Various activities are scattered around the gardens (eg quoits, cornhole, etc). There are many small things for children to explore, such as a fairy house and 'fossils' in a footpath. An exhaustive list of these would take too long to share! The Guesthouse is half a block from White's Beach. This is not a patrolled beach, nor is it a surf beach. This is clearly a popular dog beach, though it is excellent for walking, laying on (or playing in) the sand, or going for a paddle. It is probably not the best for swimming, though the main, patrolled beach is walkable distance (or short drive) away. The Guesthouse is also located walkable distance, or short drive, from Torquay's shops and restaurants.

I have just returned from an amazing stay at Whitesbeach Guesthouse and words can not explain how overwhelming enjoyable my stay was! We arrived late and was personally welcome by Steve the owner of this beautiful home, he help us with our bags and even welcomed us with a very tasty glass of shiraz. after a tour of the Guesthouse we where able to take a private dip in the picturesque in-door pool and was given the opportunity to choose an unforgettable bottle of red wine from their personal cellar. And I can forget to mention the free upgrade of our room! The rest of our stay just kept on getting better with tasty spreads for breakfast, a proper sized snooker table from jolly old England and I have to stay I haven't played on a table that smooth in a long time. So if you're ever in Torquay there is no better place to stay than Whitesbeach Guesthouse.

Found this on TripAdvisor after a tricky search to find any decent accommodation in the area. What a gem! Liked it so much we returned for the last night of our Australian trip a week later. The first thing you need to know is that it is situated at the start of the Great Ocean Road. Even better it is five minutes walk from one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, between Point Danger and Point Impossible, names to conjure with! If you like long beach walks you can go for hours here. Whitesbeach itself has a lovely feel about it as soon as you walk in. It has been converted from a luxury home and everything is just spacious and airy. There are only seven rooms but also a library, billiards room with open fire and swimming pool. It's all finished to a high standard. Rooms 6 and 7 are worth paying extra for. The owners Steve and Claudia are more than accommodating - couldn't wish for nicer hosts. Would love to return here one day but if you're staying in the area look no further.

Our family just spent a truly lovely 6 nights stay at Whitesbeach Guesthouse - although the word "guesthouse" seems rather too humble for such lovely & luxurious surroundings! The tranquility of the accommodation, together with the easy, laid back charm of the hosts, Stephen & Claudia, lends itself to a very relaxed, restful stay. The hosts and their lovely staff, Nancy & Doug, are attentive without being intrusive. Lovely, fresh breakfast served daily. All day unsupervised access to unlimited good coffee and hot chocolate from the Jura machine helps you feel welcome and at home. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Crisp, white bedlinen. Fluffy towels. Lovely bathroom toiletries. Cleanliness standards incredibly high - the dishwasher in the Coach House where we stayed had even been put through a cleaning cycle for our arrival. Lovely beach and well maintained play park a couple of minutes walk from the house. Good restaurant recommendations from hosts - particularly enjoyed the Japanese Roku Den and a special anniversary meal at Number One restaurant. Facials at Saltair Spa were an indulgent holiday treat and we appreciated the discount extended to Whitesbeach guests. We would have no hesitation in returning to Whitesbeach Boutique Hotel (!!) and highly recommending it to others. Thanx for having us!!

Friendly and welcoming visit, the Whitesbeach Guesthouse is a great place to relax. Its secluded in the housing estate behind gates that allow entry to the property that seems bigger on the inside than the outside. A large pool area with warm pool and spa, barbecue, table tennis, games, and even a billiard room. Your spoilt for entertainment and facilities. Oh and what about the DVD selection ! The Library is a quite place to sit back and relax read a book with a coffee or beer. Its a reasonable walk to the town centre but its nice and quiet as a result. Although the Ride the Wave shuttle bus stops right outside so a trip to / from town is easy. To cap it call its just a short stroll across the road to the beach. Highly recommend a visit.
