We arrived to a lovely greeting from extremely friendly staff. However, we paid $140 for a severely out-dated room with a really poor shower, limited, poor-quality toiletries provided, no wine glasses and a noisy aircon! This is a $80/night motel at best.

We stayed for one night as we travelled through town. The room was clean and comfortable with heating and electric blankets (perfect for the cold winter night). It was, however, very dated and in desperate need of an upgrade. However, as I said, it was absolutely fine for a stop over.

Average is probably best way to describe the rooms, but they are clean and tidy. In need of a facelift but felt comfortable. Hosts most welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. Ideal for a comparatively cheap stopover. Longer stays may be an issue.

Stayed here for 2 nights this week, and was pleasantly surprised! Rooms are a little dated, but comfortable and clean. Bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. Best.waterpressure.ever! Seriously... The shower alone is enough to get me to stay here next time I'm in town. Big breakfast at the Highlander was fantastic too! Only negatives were a noisy air... More

Our hosts Bob & Belinda were a delightful couple & run a pretty good 'ship' as they say. I checked in & unfortunately the Kitchen smells came to meet me at Reception but the greeting on arrival made up for that one. The room was clean but somehow we felt that the Room was all about the wrong way as... More

Stayed there on a recent bus tour. We were shocked when we went into the room. It was smelly and a musty feeling. Had to leave door open to get smell out. Most people on the tour felt the same. Ok bed seemed clean and sort of comfy. If I have had my choice or maybe even next time I... More

A very pleasant motel and location, friendly and efficient hosts, rooms clean and spacious well appointed. The food at the Highlander restaurant was excellent, innovative and served in a timely manner. We shared the chorizo, shallots in local apple cider as an entree. The Barramundi with avocado and strawberries was a delicious departure from the run of the mill Barra... More

I enjoyed my stay here while on business. I asked for a quiet room and was given a large comfortable one at the rear that was neat and clean with a lovely outlook on a park. Admittedly it was not equipped with a carcinogenic microwave, but who needs one anyway. The manager Bob and his chef wife Belinda do a... More

Beds were very uncomfortable, the mattress seemed like it was 20 years old. The rooms are in need of a big revamp. There was no soap in the shower so take your own soap. They came around at 9am to clean the room when check out wasn't until 10am. This place was not worth the $135 per night that we... More

We stayed here over the weekend. Pretty disappointed that there wasn't a microwave. It made warming food and bottles for our 8 month old daughter extremely difficult. Receptionist not overly helpful when we asked for an extra towel. The shower head needs replacing, vanity sink all cracked. Bed very uncomfortable and pillows were clumpy - like they've been put through... More
