Great location but you pay for it. Having said that we did leave it until the last minute to book at a busy time of year, so can't really complain about the cost too much. The rooms in the newer side, across from the pub side, are much nicer. Older rooms are showing their age. We stayed 2 nights, really...

We booked the 2 bedroom Penthouse apartment. Clean, well maintained and fabulous views. The location was excellent, quite central to all the attractions we visited. There were restaurants to choose from close by - nice but all expensive. Our penthouse was the best- on the corner- lounge had a patio plus each bedroom had a narrow patio (one person width),...

Lovely Location, but not up to the standard of the price tag put on it. There was no Foxtel/Austar in the room, the King bed was 2 singles pushed together & uncomfortable, the balcony was dirty & had cobwebs & the sea view was blocked by plants. The staff were friendly, but house keeping was pretty average.

Great location - could walk to Foodlands, the main road with cafes, the jetty with Pelican feeding etc. Comfortable apartment, very spacious. Separate bath and shower were great (the bath is great as we have a young child). Our room (a one bedroom apartment in the Pier Apartments) had a fabulous view of the sea and our balcony was facing...

Unusual hotel, with a mixed range of room options, across a number of building blocks and what you get seems to depend on where you pick. The 'executive ' rooms seem relatively new and have views of the sea. They are clean and have large flat screen TVs. Wifi is free but you need to get 500mb tickets, which -...

Stayed here for a night whilst on a 2 day trip to Kangaroo Island. Room was good with heating/air conditioning, tea/coffee making facilities and balcony with great view over the bay. Breakfast had everything we wanted and was very good, service was ok. Bar in evening served good meals, drinks reasonably priced with friendly barman.

We stayed one night at the Aurora Ozone Hotel after camping for a few days. We decided we didn't want the hassle of packing up for the ferry during the predicted rain so booked in to the last available room on the island. Unfortunately, being on an island the competition isn't that great so it really is a sellers market...
