This year my wife, son and I spent Christmas with family in the Blur Mountains (some of them live here). So we decided to stay somewhere nice given it was Christmas. The Carrington is certainly a grand old establishment. If you like old world grandeur and comfort then this definitely fits the bill. The staff are friendly, the rooms are...

We stayed for 2 nights just till Christmas. The heritage room was very spacious, so was the bath. We enjoyed the quietness eventhough the hotel was quite busy. There are so many cosy sitting areas down stairs as well as on the first floor it was just wonderful. The entire atmosphere of "grandeur style of the 19th Century" is well...

This hotel is just beautiful. It was once the only hotel to have rivaled Raffles back in the 1880's. I love the way the rooms still open with a key! We stayed in room 44. The room is spacious & there's a spa bath for that little touch of luxury. We were disappointed that there was no DVD or Blu...

The Hotel has been renovated and is just beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable although it looked out over the rubbish bins. The ambiance in the dining and main area was stunning. Situated in the middle of Katoomba, yet back from the road so little noise from the street. Lots of info on the walls re the old days...

Fantastic building and being able to utilise the lounges, restaurant, bar area and front deck was amazing. Just dropped in one day on holidays when passing as it looked wonderful and ended up booking 2 nights in a suite. 2 receptionists when we booked in were so helpful and friendly (gentleman with a curled up beard and 40 ish lady...

This hotel has so much character it is impossible to describe...but the staff is warm and welcoming, the food is sumptuous, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and access to Katoomba is unparalleled. Would stay here again if we ever got the chance. We loved the helpful staff, as they reconfigured 2 rooms for our party upon arrival night, and...

We passed through Katoomba on the way to Port Douglas, and were most taken by the property. We stayed a night on our return through the town, and enjoyed the all too brief experience hugely. We had a Premier Spa room, which was very nice indeed. But it is the common areas of the hotel which stood out for us....

We had visited this hotel on a previous visit years ago so went back for some nostalgia. The hotel has been beautifully restored since our last visit - gracious & inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner there on a Saturday night; great ambience, terrific pianist who is happy to take requests and very good food & service. We chose the 3...

We are staying at the beautiful Carrington Hotel now! This hotel is just simply a charming old lady which has been brought back to its former glory!
