My wife son and I stayed here for two nights while we did some hiking in the area. We spent the nights playing chess & pool by the fire place enjoying simple but nice food from the kitchen. The included breakfast was a special treat, Sunday mornings buffer was accompanied by some cool live music from a local duo. A... More

We stayed here for three nights. Very economical stay. Lovely old world charm and delightful staff. The full breakfast was a bonus and was included in the price of the room. We enjoyed playing pool on one of the nights and listening to a jazz musician on another night. The cosy fires were a bonus.

We booked what we thought was a 3 1/2* hotel so we knew it wasn't going to be flash but the online photos of the rooms looked nice so we were expecting it to be a bit old fashioned but comfortable. To start with the hotel is in the middle of a renovation - the kind of renovation where they... More

A boutique hotel very much in need of upgrade but still pleasent.at this time of year a fire during the day would be great as it has been very windy outside. The hotel is very central to shops and across thr road from RSL

My husband and I loved this hotel. Lots of old world charm, creaky floor boards added to the character. Our teenage daughter thought it was old! It is a little 'shabby' but that added to the feel of the hotel. We were transported back in time. Loved the lounge room where we played pool and board games with the kids,... More

I actually enjoyed this very different hotel in Katoomba, but I can also see some of the bad reviews have some merit, but many are just vindictive It is not a 5 star hotel, so not sure why people expect that when it is clearly says that when booking.Saying that, yes I would stay here again for sure...but will just... We saw the reviews and expected a little more room. We have three children including a baby and although the room was comfy there was a hallway right outside our door where other guests children ran up and down late into the night until we requested they stop. Close to scenic world and katoomba shops. Would be good for families... More

we stayed at the hotel blue for a family mid week holiday, the place falls into the quirky class as a place stay with an alternative vibe about it!, if one is looking for a slick corporate professional hotel then you maybe disappointed, we enjoyed our stay with the warm fire going in the common area a very relaxing spot,... Don't expect The Ritz even if the descriptions online suggest 1920's elegance. The hotel is not cheap but the bathrooms are.. Really need updating, but they were clean. Even though breakfast opens at 8:00am ( quite late compared to most hotels.. Don't expect the hot food to come out until til at least 8:30am ). To be honest the hotel... More

Horrific. Very deceiving pictures online, the place is incredibly run down, smelly and dirty. The $250 per night price tag beggars belief. My wife and i had to return home, could not stay in this hovel. No refund given, they actually refused. This could be the only place with a bathroom I believe you could come out of dirtier than...
