I am one of those people who loves luxury. Some times in small towns it's hard to get that. I get really nervous when I drive up to a hotel / motel and it gets even worse when I put the key in the door. What am I in for? Well last night I was pleasantly surprised. Humble but clean... More

I was visiting Glen Innes to check out the Autumn colour and decided I needed somewhere to stay that would be cheap with cable TV (so I could watch the footy!). That's what I got. For $70 I got the room, which included a very warm, comfortable and clean (white white sheets) bed, bathroom (hot shower), small fridge, TV (with... More

We just stayed for the 1 night whilst travelling home to QLD from Sydney. Friendly welcome, reasonably priced, clean room with renovated bathroom and bed was super comfy - everything we needed as travellers. Great spot for a very short stroll to pubs & restaurants with no highway noise.

I highly recommend this place. It's nothing fancy but it's very cheap, clean, homely and has all the necessities. The reception is welcoming. It's only a couple buildings away from Maccas in one direction and a couple buildings away from the pub with a very nice dining room in the other direction. I am a motorcyclist who got stuck in... I booked a room whilst attending the 'Gather In the Glen' weekend to save me driving home for an hour back to farm late at night. Nice & quiet off the highway and short stroll to Grey St's cafes. Recommended to budget-conscious travelers - I've stayed in dearer places that were not as nice!

This was not our first stay at the Amber Motel and I think we have decided it will always be our first choice of places to stay when travelling through Glen Innes. Although it is an older motel the rooms are absolutely spotless, the beds and linen are obviously of a high quality and the rooms have reverse cycle split... More

The front of the premises is not inviting, that's for sure. Once inside the parking area, the outside of the buildings looks to have been newly painted. We booked a queen size room for two and it was very small and dated. It was quite clean, (apart from a crushed biscuit under a chair). The room we were in was... More

We arrived in Glen Innes at about 4.00 with me feeling decidiedly unwell, and checked into the Amber ,it was obviously recently renovated and we took the Queen plus room and upon entry we were immediately impressed with how clean the room really was , no stale odors or funky smells and the floor was spotless ,the bathroom was a bit...
