We stayed here for two nights. Lovely view of beach/ocean pool across the road. Good location, suited our needs. Restaurant downstairs but we did not use, wanted to venture out for breakfast and dinners. Popped out to get some Chinese for dinner (shops very close by - 10min walk) and surprised kitchenette did not have cutlery. Lucky kitchenette had teaspoons... More

Hotel was clean, service was nice, view was great and the restaurant was perfect. The room decor was disappointing, no pictures and very bland, no little bottles of shampoo etc and bad coffee, great for an overnight stay but wouldn't like to stay longer due lack of anything much in the room.

Thought I'd spend the night in Forster and enjoy the hot weather. On the site the rooms looked nice. A standard room at $200 should have been of high quality (as my recent European trip). A large unfeeling badly decorated room with horrid commercial carpet. A most basic bathroom. A total disgrace. Clean of course. I stayed in pensiones (ex... More

The Dorsal is nicely situated directly across the road from the main beach and ocean pool, with good views from the higher floors. The room itself is however poorly appointed, and lacks any sort of cutlery, crockery, toaster etc. with the exception of a couple of mugs and glasses. The room was clean and tidy. This hotel is fine for... More

My husband and I stayed in a deluxe beach front room for our 10th anniversary and were very happy with our room. Comfy kind size bed and a view second to none. Our second stay at the Dorsal and we will definitely be back!

We had great view looking over the ocean pool -the beds are comfortable and roomy shower - the disappointment here is they supply a nice balcony , so we arrived with cheese biscuits fruit to enjoy a platter , the kitchenette has a kettle 3 cups and 3 spoons and a bar fridge - 2 large empty draws -so we... I would have given the Dorsel a 5 if there was decent hot water temp/pressure. We stayed 5 nights and every night it took an hour to put enough water in the bath to cover the spa jets which is unacceptable. I think it was intentional to turn people off using the bath. Pretty pathetic for a boutique hotel costing... More

reasonably priced hotel offering great views from the ocean facing rooms. We sat on the balcony having morning coffee watching pods of dolphins moving about the bay. could do with a comfortable sofa instead of sitting chairs, there was plenty of space in the room. we found the bed very comfortable king size. walking distance to the main shopping strip... This hotel is directly opposite the main beach and ocean baths with lovely views. Reception staff very welcoming, friendly and informative. A great restaurant is housed in the same building. The room we had was spacious and although very clean and tidy, was sparse and lacking something. We also found the bathroom limited for bench top space. However, how much... More
