Had a lovely stay - so close to beach and public transport, comfy beds and clean facilities. Plenty of places to eat and walks near the ocean - great views and nice atmosphere. Felt safe with No issues

I've stayed in this hostel 3 times now, and it has been a pleasure each time. The staff are friendly - even the manager takes the time to get to know the guests. Plenty of bathrooms available and the kitchen is well equipped. Plenty of social space, too, with a living room downstairs and a large covered balcony upstairs. Bedrooms are good - there are clothing rails to hang your clothes which is a bonus! I stayed in the 4 bed female room. Laundry costs are on a par with every other hostel at $4 but, unlike other hostels, there are washing lines available instead of having to pay for the dryer. A lot of people staying here are long term whilst working, which is always a good sign. Calm relaxed atmosphere - even at the weekend. I would (and do) recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Sydney. If I find myself in Sydney again this will be the first place I look for a room. Thanks for a great stay, Coogee Beach House.

Very confused at all the good reviews. Staff were not that friendly, rooms were a bit dirty and while one bathroom was very nice, the other had two cockroaches to share your shower with. Right by a loud street so you can’t really sleep past 7am, and they say they have parking, when it’s really just finding a street nearby. Wouldn’t really recommend staying here.

I stayed at this hostel on a Saturday night. I basically just wanted someone where quiet to sleep. The receptionist was nice and friendly. My room was located on the first floor. I went to use the toilet and there was no soap. BYO soap! The TV in the room didn't work. The outlet didn't work, so in the morning my phone had not charged. I was woken up at 7ish am by the cleaner in the kitchen and vacuuming. The window wouldn't close and there wasn't any air conditioning, so I woke up with bug bits. The best thing about this place was the location. The location was fantastic.
