Needing a place to stay in Queenstown and after a short search settled on the West Coaster. Great location if you intend on going on the wilderness railway. Great in house take away and excellent pizza. The only thing that I could fault would be the hot water was only just hot water....definitely didnt need to use the cold tap.

we booked an economy room for 3 nights but were very comfortable and had the chance to see more of the area and the owner extended our deal for the week. At the beginning he upgraded us and I am trying to find a fault but can't think of one. close to the heritage tour office an the Wilderness railway... More

The room was comfortable and well appointed and had all mod cons etc. Nice restaurant and excellent pizzas as well as usual food groups. Management helpful and courteous. City attractions within walking distance [1km approx.].

Arrived early afternoon to see a sign on the door "Reception open at 4pm". As we were travelling with a 90 year old, not a good start! We booked this motel because it had a restaurant. Only to find it was closed! Ended up at the amazing Pub down the road. Owner said they were struggling but his attitude was... More

Sorry to see that you were disappointed with your stay. Unfortunately due to your agent not passing on an email to you about reception and restaurant hours changing you were unaware of these unavoidable circumstances at the time of your arrival. The Motel is now in winter trading as stated on all our websites so it is a good idea... More

We stayed for a couple of nights in March & found the motel to be better than average & located an easy walk to Queenstown centre. The room was large enough, comfortable, clean & quiet. The restaurant was busy both nights so we ate in town at the Empire Hotel (which by the way we highly recommend). Would we stay... More

Four of us travelling, did feel a warmer welcome at reception would have been nice, it was a brief conversation that it was now classed as winter season so no resteraunt but could have room service, disappointed that neither rooms had a microwave nor bowls/spoon for breakfast cereal, all felt basic.

Again we are sorry you were disappointed with your stay. We try to make sure our guests are informed of availability of restaurant and dining options and a quick phone call from our guests is a great way to be able to do this as not all have the time to go through all the details on our websites? Reasonably priced, the fellow at reception came off a little arrogant and ride to begin with I thought, like we were a pain in his butt for asking about staying the night, rolling in at around 5pm, as we hadn't booked. But once we got to the room it was clean and spacious. We got two pizzas, one each, and... More

Thank you for you recent review on our meals at the West Coaster. We are so glad you enjoyed our buffett as many do. We arrived late in Queenstown on a bank holiday. Everything was closed except the west coaster motel which did takeaway pizza. The were able to do a pizza without cheese and it was honestly the best non cheese pizza we had ever had. Brilliant. Yum. We also got an ordinary pepperoni pizza. Fantastic! What a great response and we are so glad you enjoyed your non cheese pizza. We actually use a specially mixed pizza cheese from our supplier which consists of 3 types of... More
