Your comments are noted. We do not promote the property as "luxury" this is a good solid 3.5 motel, we have spent a lot on modernising the place, lifting the standard and providing the cleanest rooms that you'll find anywhere

Thank you for reviewing your recent stay with us and pleased that we met your expectations. Tasmania's is a region of magnificent contrasts including majestic scenery, expansive lakes, trees, wildlife and wilderness and also the ravages of man in the quest to extract minerals. There are two excellent museums one in Queenstown and one in Zeehan which depict the regions rich history. Please tell your friends this is an area of wonder and should be visited.

The Comfort Inn was average in every aspect. A budget hotel with clean, basic amenities. Microwave and crockery was plus. Room was on the smaller of average, perhaps standard of older motels. TV reception was very poor and no cable tv options. No Air Con either, but rarely is

Clearly there must have been 5 star expectations in mind when writing the review. TV reception issues affected all of Queenstown this week. Totally disagree (as many other visitors to Tasmania's West Coast also do) with the un-helpful assessment provided of this town. There is character and history in Queenstown that won't be found anywhere else. The Wilderness Railway operates daily services into the World Heritage Forest from here. The landscape and scenery is stunning, there are bush walks, the famous gravel oval, museums and the wonderfully restored art-deco Movie Theatre "The Paragon" to walk through and which is still showing old time movies and serving dinner. There is some of the best white water rafting to be found anywhere and bike trails for those who want to expend their energy. Numerous eating options including Cafes, Restaurants, Hotels, Take-aways. Sometimes all that is required is to remove the blinkers and immerse yourself into the surroundings.
