Stayed for one night with family. We all had a fantastic time. My room was lovely the decor was in keeping with the inn. Molton Brown toiletries, fresh milk, water and orange juice. The homemade biscuits melted in the mouth. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Food was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed my cooked breakfast. Hope to return... More

Just returned from an overnight stay in the black swan . Found the rooms comfortable and clean . The meal we had in the restaurant was amazing and well worth the price. Breakfast this morning was also very nice with plenty of choices . This place is well worth a visit .

Stayed here for 3 nights recently. Room lovely and warm with nice hospitality tray. This is not really a hotel but a pub, but saying that it seems to do most trade in the restaurant. There were large function on 2 of the nights but still managed to get us in for a meal. The food was a good standard... More

Just had the most excellent Christmas meal at Woody's Restaurant. There were 9 of us in the group. Food was fabulous, vegetables beautifully cooked, 3 courses, followed by warm mince pies, coffee/tea - nothing too much trouble, lovely relaxed atmosphere. Hidden gem - will definitely be going back here! X

This was a lunch time treat for us courtesy of two very good friends. We received a friendly welcome at the bar - well kept Black Sheep! The meal was freshly cooked with generous portions all round. Very reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.

My husband & I stayed in a twin room which was large & had modern decor. We were given instructions on how to use the shower but my husband described it as like having a shower from a watering can-the water pressure for the bath was fine though. As you would expect being above a pub, there was a fair... More

The location of this hotel is a bit out of the way but it suited us perfectly for this visit. We were made to feel welcome, the room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The evening meal was taken in the restaurant and the food was excellent in quality and presentation. Similarly the breakfast... More

We booked a last minute break to The Black Swan. It is just perfect for a relaxing trip to a beautiful part of the country. The owners Peter & Angela are perfect hosts - friendly and welcoming. Our room was lovely - comfy bed, large bathroom, and everything you could want in a B&B, and so quiet...an excellent nights sleep!... More
