Enjoy your stay in Palm Cove!
We had the perfect wedding at the Pullman Palm Cove Sea Temple. The staff were incredibly professional, organised and helpful in every stage of the planning and execution of the day. Their attention to detail and care of both of us during the day was exceptional. In addition to this the weeks holiday that we had leading up to the day was incredibly relaxing and easy for us and our families and friends that stayed at Sea Temple. We are incredibly grateful to have trusted the Sea Temple to host our wedding as well as to look after us for the week leading up.
We planned our Wedding Day at The Pullman Sea Temple, Palm Cove in August 2022. With help from Kylie and Charlotte, who were our Event Coordinators from The Pullman - our day was amazing ! From the perfect weather on the day, to the Ceremony set up on the beautiful beach, to the Reception area around the pool - Charlotte had set up our tables exactly how I had asked - even with extra candles to make it more romantic !! The waiting staff were fantastic and very attentive - they touched base with those who had dietary requirements and our guests commented "it was the best wedding they had ever been to ! ". Our accommodation was very comfortable and had a roof top spa. We would strongly recommend this location to any couple wishing to get married in Palm Cove (paradise) !
We are currently staying here and we love it. Our 2 bedroom apartment has kitchen and laundry meaning we can easily have a quiet dinner in our apartment if we’ve all had a big day. The apartments are huge with both rooms having their own bathroom and toilet. Pool is great along with the lagoon bar. So close to the beach. Buffet breakfast is awesome and the restaurant for dinner is Devine. Yes,getting into town is a good 10 mins walk but we really enjoyed the walk. Each night after tea we would go for a walk to the jetty and back. Being an Accor member the bikes were free to hire and we would use these to ride to the Clifton village supermarket and back when we needed food. We will definitely be back. Absolutely loved it.
The staff was super-helpful and friendly. The hotel is really nice, the food in the restaurants is fantastic. Everything is superb, the only 2 things I didn’t like were: - swimming pool was a bit cold - the spa pool says “adults only” but there were annoying noisy children in it and nobody enforced the adults-only rule.
This is a very nice and well thought out resort. The pool Is the main attraction, one of the best I have ever been in. Proximity to the beach for early morning walks is great. Hopefully you get a quiet room, away from the main pool as there is music playing all day and there are hundreds of kids playing. So this is a superb place to bring kids. Only draw backs and I’m being fussy here are- it’s a long way from town so you need a car. The pool is not heated so some may find it too cold in winter. And the roof top spa was not hot enough. Noise from kids and not enough deck chairs around the pool. I do love this place.
Just back from my 6th stay at this beautiful resort. Tucked away on the southern end of Palm Cove, the resort is relaxed, and quiet, yet an easy walk to the pub and the restaurant and cafe strip opposite the beach. We just love Palm Cove, it has such a relaxed vibe, and this resort compliments that vibe perfectly. Stay #7 is already booked
Our experience with Accor fell short from the get-go where the call centra agent booked us into the Palm Cove property, not Port Douglas where we were traveling with friends. Apparently, this happens a lot (according to the Reception staff). To say this was a disappointment was an absolute understatement. Don't even get me started on contacting customer service- there is basically none. Additionally went to have breakfast on our last day (on my own) and wanted to order one dish. I wasn't even allowed to place the order as there were "two tables ahead of me who hadn't yet decided what they wanted to eat". I was floored. Clearly, this hotel is not ready for the influx of guests, and neither is the area (including Port Douglas). You have to prebook dinners as most restaurants are fully booked until mid-July. The hotel grounds are beautiful at Palm Cove, rooms are nice with lovely outlooks but some wear and tear on furniture which does not warrant a 5-star rating. The pool is way too cold, which sends the children straight into the "Adults Only" spa. We did enjoy Palm Cove, it is lovely and relaxing but Pullman needs to seriously lift its game.…
Staying here this week with my daughter. The staff are lovely and doing their best, but it isn't worth the price (is anything anymore?) The bar staff at the Lagoon are nice enough, but not particularly helpful. Paid $22 for a mocktail and an average milkshake. Melburnians, coffee is hideous- they burn the milk. The pools are not warm either- and with today being 24 but very overcast and rainy, the pools definitely need to be warmer. The area also needed a big clean up- there were dirty socks and slippers from the room s left on the chairs. The kids spa wasn't working either. The main restaurant at the hotel is also going to be closed for half the time we are here and all the restaurants in Palm Cove are booked out most nights- so I highly recommend booking your restaurants before you come. Do not eat at The Celtic (the pub, only place we could get into tonight)- food is terrible. Walking into Palm Cove is simple enough, but you'll need a car if you want to go further afield- there aren't any Ubers here and taxis are very very expensive, e.g. $74 to go to Cairns from Palm Cove one way. The hotel itself is lovely looking- our room (Superior) isn't in a very nice location, but am sure the others are nicer than ours. Some have their own plunge pool. You'll need to sign into your own streaming services on the TV- unfortunately, people hadn't signed out when they left, so that was also an issue. There aren't any vending machines here and the shop closes early-ish so no where for a late night snack- room service stops at 8.30pm. There is a supermarket in town, but bring your wallet. I probably sound like I am a whinger, but for the price we are paying I would expect a much higher level of service and facilities. I'll update again when we leave with any improvements or new information.…
A beautiful property right on the beach at Palm Cove but far enough away from the main thoroughfare to feel very quiet and exclusive. We really enjoyed what was a huge, well fitted out, luxury apartment - excellently equipped kitchen, lounge, balcony, master bedroom and a very spacious bathroom. it wasn’t cheap for one night in the high season but we felt worth the splurge. The Sea Temple Restaurant was very good and the massive pool area that is a feature of this resort gorgeously well lit at night. We had spa treatments and again very good. There were a few minor things - it’s a compact resort and because the rooms all face in towards the pool it can be a bit noisey at night, depending on the location of your room and the neighbours. The air conditioner needed a clean and the pool area also would have benefited from an early morning gurney. We really enjoyed our stay.…
We recently stayed at the Pullman Sea Temple at Palm Cove. It was out second trip to Palm Cove but the first to the Pullman. We had booked for 7 nights originally but had to extend the stay due to unplanned illness. The manager, Jess, was extremely helpful even going to the shops for us to buy some milk and bread in her own time. The kitchen team were great as we had to get room service for all dinners and even when they where busy it was never too much trouble. I would not hesitate to stay at the Pullman Palm Cove again it is a great location with a great team.
