We stayed in a 2 bedroom plunge pool apartment - we never needed to leave. It was well designed, very comfortable and had everything we needed. The only downside to this room was the noise from the attached 1 bedroom studio apartment. It was separated by a normal door and all conversations were audible within our apartment, as were other more uncomfortable sounds. We raised it at reception and we understand that they would be passing this onto management as our room was only newly managed. Otherwise, perfect place to spend your time. The hotel itself was great - service was good. The first night we ate at the Temple of Taste restaurant and could not fault the excellent service we received and the delicious food. The second night we ordered room service - the only available food was from Temple of Taste. No simple light meals - the lunch menu from the bar would have been perfect for evening room service! The service at breakfast on our first morning was very poor - 15 minutes to order and then another 20 for the food to arrive, which was when we needed to leave for a bus. We raised our issues with the supervisor, Ben, the next day and he dealt with it extremely satisfactorily. There was a noticeable difference in the service provided by staff when Ben was present and breakfast was lovely. The hotel has done a great job dealing with Covid and changing the buffet to delivery of fruit, pastries and yoghurt and then taking orders for hot food. Again, apart from the first morning, this was a perfect way to start the day. The spa at the hotel is beautiful and services provided were first rate - something to add to the relaxation. The location is great, a short stroll down the beach into Palm Cove. We found the hotel to be a little spot of paradise in a beautiful area.…
The property is a well designed resort. It has the location, design and feel of a 5 star resort...But, it needs some urgent TLC. When checking in, our room was not up to our expectations, so Alvin very graciously found us a similar room that met our expectations. Alvin was outstanding with his customer care! However, the property needs some maintenance, with external areas, and FFE urgently needing a makeover. Based on this, I don't think this property can be called 5 star.
Lovely resort with nice lagoon pool and separate lap pool. Also love the open air reception area plus direct beach access which is a rarity in Palm Cove. Our room overlooked the dumpsters out the back of the hotel and we were woken at 7am by the garbage truck each day. We were staying on the discounted "locals package", maybe this is why we were given this room but anyway, perhaps relocate the bins or retire this room and use it for storage. It really dampens your stay when you look forward to and check into such a nice property, then have that as your view. Breakfast was good and well managed in COVID times. I enjoyed the a la carte service rather than the buffet for something different. A mixed/slightly changed menu each day would be nice just to mix it up a bit. The breaky staff were constantly nice, welcoming and very friendly - a really nice way to start the day, especially with the outdoor seating. I found it really strange that the ONLY room service available, was the exact same menu offered at the higher end Temple of Taste resturant - at the higher end prices. For those wanting a burger and chips or nuggets for the kids, no can do - it's fine dining or its nothing - very strange for a hotel of this calibre. Perhaps it's a COVID thing, but the lack of a regular room service menu was disappointing. I really appreciated the complimentary and secure, underground direct access parking. All service staff at the front desk were genuinely friendly and warm at each interaction, especially the gentleman at check in who remembered us each day and gave us a wave whenever passing. Happily stay again, only if guaranteed a non-dumpster facing room :) …
My partner and I stayed for the first time early October. What a welcome, what a room, awesome food and awesome staff. We are not swimmers so chose not to utilise the lovely pool options however many were. I am a spa girl and thoroughly enjoyed my 2 massages. Outside of Sofitel Fiji, the best spa experience by far and as a Diamond Rewards Member I have tried many ! I simply want to thank Craig and ALL the Sea Temple team across the board for making our stay so very enjoyable. The property is a short walk to the beach either outside the property or main street side and options are plentiful. Each morning we were greeted by happy and helpful staff who continue to work under Covid restrictions which I know is not easy. Good contract tracing around the property and sanitiser at 10 paces everywhere you went. So very Covid safe and friendly. The restaurant had wonderful meal options and absolutely gorgeous. I had the same for 4 nights out of the 8 !!!!!!! As we live in QLD I think until some of the madness settles down we will make the Pullman Sea Temple our little home away from home for the odd short trip. Thank you again to everyone it has not been an easy time for any of you but your all went out of your way to make everyone feel safe and well looked after.…
Luckily I picked this up on a Luxury 5 nights Escape Deal. First time in Cairns and totally lucked out with staying in this amazing place. Firstly they upgraded us to a 2 bed apartment instead of the studio apartment which was a lovely surprise. The whole place is very well tended and beautiful. Breakfast was included which due to COVID was table service. This was done so well and you do not lose out on choice or amount. The staff are all very helpful and the rooms were serviced to the best standard I have ever experienced. Thank you all for a truly wonderful holiday and I would love to come back again!
