Together with my travelmate Ellen, I have stayed at Faraway Bay for 2,5 weeks. We are backpackers traveling through Australia and got so lucky to be asked to come to Faraway Bay and help out Kevin and Gemma as temp staff on a voluntary basis. Every day of this 2,5 week stay, I was amazed by the beauty of this... More

FAB bush camp was unique in every way. Comfortable rooms, great food (too much), friendly staff with local stories and daily excursions and fishing. The coastal scenery, rock art and bird life added to this unique holiday.

We like to think we are a bit unique, and so glad you thought so as well. Happy you enjoyed your overall experience getting to sample a little bit of everything we have to offer, food - yes everyone always says too much, but Kevin like to ensure everyone never goes hungry! Hope it wasn't too much of a shock... More

The trip from the airstrip was a bit bumpy, but then you can't have an airstrip next to a luxury bush camp that has fantastic views out across Faraway Bay. Anyway, Kevin's commentary on the drive was entertaining and informative. At Faraway Bay, you are far way. No roads to this spot, everything comes in the light aircraft. My wife... More

We were delighted to return to Faraway Bay, being five years since we last enjoyed the many pleasures of this sensational luxury bush camp. This time we came for the 2016 rock art retreat and Kevin and Ju Ju (Aboriginal Elder representing traditional owners) certainly delivered on what this retreat had promised. During four days, we were privileged to spend... More

A magical place in an amazing part of the country. Booking experience is a sign of things to come. Very guest oriented and Kathie can't do enough to help you. The Faraway Bay experience is so unique, not just because of the many activities on offer, but the incredible hospitality of Kevin, Gemma and Sarah. Rarely are you made to... More

Had a fabulous time at Faraway Bay, this place is a must if you want to see the Kimberleys! The food is delicious and beautifully presented, and I can highly recommend the cocktails 😊 We had some fantastic day trips to see the King George Falls and various rock art sites, it was a real privilege to see this ancient... If you ever get a chance, this is one trip to add to your must list for those who are interested in native Australian rock "art". Also add in the beautiful weather late June and the amenities at the "bush" camp. It is much more than a bush camp with pool, spa and sumptuous meals. This is not a place... More

I am so glad I went here. It's such an amazing place with so much to see and explore, everything from beautiful aboriginal rock art to awesome waterfalls. The food is delicious and the place has a great atmosphere. This is mostly down to the owner, Kevin, who is a great cook and the manager of the place, and of... More

Our time at Faraway Bay was most enjoyable. Although still hot in March, each day was spent out in the boat exploring the beautiful Kimberley coastline: waterfalls, bird life, turtles and fish. The accommodation is amazing considering the remoteness of the resort and the hospitality and meals superb.

We stayed for three nights for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. We wanted to do something special within the Kimberley, and chose Faraway Bay as it is close to the spectacular King George Falls, with an abundance of easily accessible rock art, as well as a great location on a remote part of the Kimberley Coast. Our visit exceeded our expectations,... More
