I have been on several yoga retreats and this was one of my favorites. The location is very remote, crowds are non-existent. The yoga was fun, and the instructors were fabulous. The setup makes for lots of interaction with the other yogis, which was super fun! People who attend yoga retreats are usually very cool folks! The food was fabulous, I wish sometimes there was more substance to the meals, one day there was fruit for breakfast and a green salad for lunch so by dinner I was beyond famished. My only complaint was that one of the yoga instructors smoked pot constantly, even while leading a yoga class. She also promoted fun events in the evening, but pot was a big part of the event. As a person in recovery, I felt excluded by the overwhelming presence of marijuana, which is against my program. Part of the reason I attend yoga retreats is so I am not surrounded by drugs and alcohol, it is not an enjoyable experience for me. If I was newer in recovery, I might have been more tempted by the pot, which is not what you expect at a yoga retreat. I urge the owners to provide a healthy fun, drug free environment. I realize you can not control the guests, but the instructors should not be promoting drug use in my opinon. Lastly, I was in the stand alone room featured on the website. The views were amazing and the accomodation with the sleeping arrangement upstairs was ideal. The room is advertised with air conditioning, which actually is not available. Upon arrival the hot water did not work, which they fixed. The refrigerator did not work, and was not fixed. Regardless, this was still a really fun restorative retreat!

Kelly and Zappa who own this beautifully tranquil guesthouse and their amazing team could not have made us feel more welcome. From the second you arrive, you are part of their extended family.

Kelly’s amazing passion for hosting and Zappa’s skills in the kitchen made for an amazing visit. They helped with advise, organised tours, information about the local nature and history of the area. Perfect Hosts.

I had never been to that end of the island, but it’s wonderfully unspoilt landscape and very friendly locals made for the perfect escape from the world.

At Go Natural, the rooms are basic but beautifully colourful. Some rooms had air-con, but the beautiful Caribbean breeze really means you don’t need it.

There is a great cold water outdoor shower and plenty of warm water showers about and everything is kept very clean.

I would describe it as a high level rustic hotel. Basic but beautiful.

There is a bar on site and lots of local food and drinks in the surrounding area.

Great place to base yourself and explore what old school Jamaica is about. Safe and Very friendly area.

Enjoy

My experience at Go Natural was incredible to say the least. The property is a paradise in and of itself and the staff, especially the yoga teacher, really made me feel supported, safe and cared for. All the food is freshly made by chef vegan jamaican cuisine and I learned so much about how to make my own natural skin care products in the cosmetic workshop. I really did not want to leave Go Natural because of the amazing hospitality there and the safety and beauty of the space. I really deepened my yoga practice and in turn my connection to my soul. Big up Go Natural!

The manager of the retreat is a total scam. And the staff told me that I wasn't the first one got scammed. But they can't warn me before it happened since they would lose their job, and I totally understand that.

So if you were planning just to go there for yoga and quiet time with no need for extra services such as excursions, snorkeling, Port Antonio tour, or massage, it's still a beautiful place to go. But if you do need anything in addition from the manager, it'll be a total headache to deal with someone who promise one thing, and it turns out to be a totally different thing. And even one you didn't get the service, the manager refused to give a refund. She also took every opportunity to keep the changes, delaying giving it back to you and eventually keeping it.

She promised to help me rent snorkeling gear with life vest for 60$ over 2 hours. And the snorkeling gears did show up though being very late, but there was no life vest. When I asked for refund, it was all excuses and delays until I strongly insisted right before I left, then she said it's not refundable. The staff felt bad for me and told me that I wasn't the first one got scammed. So I strongly recommend you to avoid this place.

Truly paradise
Get ready to have the best trip of your life. This place doesn’t feel real and nor do the pictures do it justice.

From the moment I was greeted at the airport I was made to feel like a part of the family. You will not have to worry about a thing, Kelly and Zappa have everything covered.

Days consisted of a morning yoga practice with Kelly followed by the best breakfast in town cooked and grown on the property by Zappa. Phil and Tristan are around if you should need anything at all and will take you to one of the many beautiful excursions that are a must visit including reach falls, Frenchman’s cove, blue lagoon and more. Or just hang out on your own private beach. Do as little or as much as you please, you go easy in Jamaica.
The sound of the waves and the feel of the of the sea air will make it hard to want to leave to go anywhere else but there’s so much to explore.

The bed is Luxury with the softest sheets and the towels are even softer. Sea views from every room and coffee in the morning made from local coffee beans. If you want to go out at night there’s lots to do with a wide variety restaurants near by including Boston (birth place of jerk chicken) and your choice of rum bars the best being Sasha’s right across the road from your retreat.

Being a female on my own I felt incredibly safe and protected thanks to the entire go natural team. Portland in general is “I’m told” one of the safest in Jamaica but with these guys you have no troubles.
Could not recommend more.
Enjoy

The photos and words will not do it justice, you must go experience this stunning place for yourself. When you arrive, you’re greeted by the biggest smiles from the friendliest faces. As you are escorted to the private rooms, you smell that ocean, you hear the birds and the sea waves crashing, you see beauty all around you, it’s truly a feast for the senses. Take your shoes off and feel that soft grass on your feet and notice the little hermit crabs all around you. The room we stayed in was amazing, open those huge wooden doors to feel that breeze. We fell asleep every evening to the sounds of waves, little singing frogs, sometimes soft rain but always stars appeared in that coal black sky. Never slept better.
The food, let me tell you we now crave it and find it anywhere we can around the DC area. The freshest fruits, veggies, daily caught fish and lobsters and crabs coupled with homemade traditional jerk chicken, pork, cabbage, rice and peas is delicious and healthy. The breakfasts of potatoes and eggs, plantains, bananas and little surprises that Chef Chris and his team brought were fabulous. You MUST have jelly and coconuts every day!
The days consisted of excursions into the motherland, having our local guides taking us to secret spots was a real gift. We had access to private parts of Jamaica that were beautiful and resonated in me. I connected to that landscape daily through the water, hikes, boat rides, limestone baths, long walks, snorkeling and jumping off waterfalls. Try it all, from Winnifred Beach to Reach Falls, Port Antonio, Nanny Falls and rafting on the Rio. Soak it all in.
The nights were perfect. We walked to local restaurants and bars, met the kindest people, danced, sang, laughed and then came back to the tiki bar for more music and some local spirits under the stars.
Loved every second of that trip and can’t recommend it enough. Two weeks wasn’t long enough. Book it now, find your inner peace and joy, try something new everyday and be happy!

Such a beautiful place right on the beach! I also felt Lorena (the yoga teacher) made the trip a far more spiritual one. She had a lot of insights and helpful meditations. Lovely staff.

The food is so good! The chef makes such incredible vegan and gluten-free food!

Just check weather before booking too many nights I didn’t realize Long Bay gets so much rain.

Reach Falls was beautiful—unfortunately the weather wasn’t good enough for Blue Lagoon. If you’re looking for a spot for a spiritual and somewhat remote place to recharge this is a great one!! I stayed in the villa and loved it—fall asleep looking at the stars out my window and woke up to view of ocean

Only if you like musty, hot and damp rooms with uncomfortable beds and smelly sheets.
The food is Meh at best and they will ring a bell to alert/disturb you for tea.
The staff are treated poorly and there is a garbage dump just at the side of the entrance the main entrance.
Main entrance, has a cluttered guard gate.
An over priced poor representation of eco- tourism in Jamaica.

I repeat, do not do it!

We stayed at Go Natural with our family booking all of the rooms. Kelly and Zappa are warm and welcoming hosts who generously share their local knowledge, giving us lots of great tips on swimming and adventure outings. There was plenty of space, with beautiful ocean views, for our family yoga practice. Zappa's delicious Jamaican fare was accommodating to vegans and others. We loved the bonfire on the beach - a perfect blazing ending to our wonderful vacation. Yah maan.

I just return from my trip and feel so good.
Natural environment was stunning!
They upgraded me to one of the Sea villas which was awesome as It was so close to the ocean that I got to sleep with sound of crashing waves, best sleep ever. I'm advanced yogi, yet their yoga teacher was wery generous with her time and attention and tailored all to my needs so I enjoyed every minute. Chef Carlton is the king of the kitchen. I come to Jamaica regular and this was so far the best began food I ever had. Clean, tasty, original and playfully presented. I enjoyed every minute and can't wait to go back with my partner this next time.
