Used as a base for local family wedding, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, quiet, what else do you need? If I was being critical the car park was a bit tight, and there was a lack of spaces, I believe this may be rectified with the building of the newer part next door. Otherwise it was spot on.

We stayed here before a Lake District tour. Not been to Whitehaven before and didn't find much there so we ate at the hotel. We enjoyed our meal. Piping hot and good portions. We found the room lovely. Spacious, clean and nice view with the sea in the distance. Good, hot powerful shower and a bath . The extra top sheet was useful... More

Don't go....rooms are as you would expect for a Premier. Quite adequate. Dining and bar.....disaster. Too many disasters to mention. Wanted 7 wine glasses..they only had 3????. Didn't have the wine advertised, didn't have the beer advertised..didn't have the food advertised....measure of Cointreau served in a half pint glass...come on...don't take the mickey! Staff were lovely however...in the face of... More

Premier Inns are usually consistent in standards, but unfortunately on this occasion basics were not met. Disappointed to find that the pre-pleated curtains were thick with dust, as were the carpet/skirting edges, and the ceiling above the window thick with cob-webs and live in spiders. I asked for the curtains to be hoovered, which they were but the receptionist's reaction... More

Stayed Sunday & Monday night over a hot August weekend.Room situated directly over the restaurant but possibly a quiet weekend because that did not disturb our sleep. Room comfortable and much larger than expected. Only drawback was that the windows did not open. Used sheet provided rather than the quilt but room was still very warm in the morning and... More

Clean, Well equipped family room. Cooked breakfast well worth the money just a pity the evening meals didn't have the same quality. Staff very friendly and helpful. The outside of Brewers could do with a clean up.

There is not too much choice for branded hotels in this area and I think this one is overpriced. There is currently an extension being built which might make it better in the long run. Our room was on the second floor of the annex and it was very hot with no air con. Whilst it is quiet enough to... More

We stayed here for a night as we were visiting family near by. The rooms were clean and spacious. The bathroom was clean and with a bath. The only problem was that the rooms were too hot, even though a fan was provided it didn't do anything. They provided a sheet so you could remove the durvet if you wanted... More

Very friendly and polite staff, nothing was too much trouble, very clean rooms and all you would expect from a very good budget hotel. Great food and friendly staff at attached restaurant. Fantastic place to stay for the Cumbrian coast and lakes.
