Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa garners appreciation for its exceptional service and vibrant atmosphere, with staff members frequently receiving accolades for their friendly and accommodating nature. While the resort's affordable packages are a hit, some guests feel that not all experiences match the price. The amenities, including pools and dining options, are generally well-received, although calls for room and bathroom updates are common. Despite its proximity to the airport, noise is minimal, and the ongoing renovations seem to promise future enhancements. The resort's cleanliness and beach upkeep are also standout features praised by visitors.

Coconut Bay is as close to a perfect vacation as you can get! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The entertainment is fun and the performers are entertaining. The staff gets the guests involved in dancing and singing, they make it a fun vacation. Our room was clean and comfortable with a wonderful view of the grounds. The resort is big enough to not feel overcrowded but small enough to get around easily. without a shuttle or golf cart. We never had a problem getting a chair by the pool after breakfast. The beach directly in front of hotel is small and had a lot of seaweed washing up, but workers were out there all day with heavy equipment removing the seaweed. They have a second beach on property that gives the feel of being on a deserted island, it has a small bar and snack shack, and nothing else it is relaxing with great views. The main buffet has plenty of choices and the food is wonderful. They offer a make your own pasta station, a meat carving station, kids area, large salad bar filled with fresh vegetables and fruits, smoothie bar, dessert area, and a coffee bar making cappuccinos and espressos to order. Specialty restaurants that we tried were Silk, Asian themed, and Calabash, Caribbean flare, both were excellent and highly recommended. The filet at Calabashe you could cut with a fork. Silk had fresh sushi, and tasty Szechuan beef.
This is the windy side of the island but it gave us the feel of paradise. It kept the heat down and the sounds of the palm trees rustling in the wind only added to the feel of being in the islands.
The Soufreire Exotica tour through the hotel was affordable ($79 adult, $59 child under 12) was the perfect way to get out and see the other side of the island. Our driver shared stories and the history of the island with us, he opened a cocoa pod so we could sample the beans that make chocolate in their purest and natural form. We snorkeled at the base of the Pitons, bathed in the mud baths, and went under a waterfall. It was worth it and strongly recommended.
I really don’t have any complaints, we loved the trip and can’t wait to bring some friends down there next time!

I don't typically give 5 star reviews- but Coconut Bay simply deserves it.
We spent one week here as an extended family of 15, ranging from 9 years old to 69 years old.

ARRIVAL/CHECK IN: Our bliss began as we stepped off the shuttle, with Tari greeting us with a delicious welcome drink. Check in was as quick as it could be for a large group. We had a small niggle regarding one booking, but front desk staff quickly took care of it without missing a beat- and all was rectified in 20 mins. Amazing service.

ROOMS: We had 3 couples on the Harmony side with Garden view rooms and 3 families on the Splash side with Garden view rooms. All rooms were clean, in good working condition and had appropriate bedding as requested. Ground floor patios were clean and in good repair, and all came with ashtrays. I must admit, only my room did have a terribly overbearing musty smell- not unusual for the Caribbean- but definitely noticeable. It did not ruin my vacation. Hot water and water pressure was plentiful and our beautiful housekeepers- Queency and Sam- always left clean towels, towel art and cute inspirational notes on the bed. Was a thoughtful touch. They were also very nice to chat to. Bathrooms and shower stalls are on the smaller side- so do be prepared that it is not a bathroom like home. It is clean and functional though. That's all we required, so that was fine. Do note that US/Canadian outlets are not plentiful in some rooms- bring an adapter or power cord with you if you need more than 1 plug. We read this ahead of time and came prepared- was a good choice. Safe was laptop sized and in good condition. Hair dryer was available, but we did not use.

ACTIVITIES: This team of people are phenomenal. I have travelled to a lot of resorts and I have not found one that could match these guys. Shout outs to Gillie, Akaya, Zee and Hose. Their energy was unmatched- always smiling- always hyping the guests up and constantly entertaining the kids/teens. There was a variety of things to do for everyone in our group- Bingo, painting, board games, pool games, foam parties, dancing, music, nightly lobby shows, beach parties, karaoke for adults and families, sports games, lazy river races, fitness classes....the list was actually endless. Couldn't be bored if we tried. One thing I appreciated about the activities was that they had a printed program for the week- not just a general list. The times were ACCURATE and times were adjusted week to week for operational need. I loved that they also communicated which activities were changing or cancelled due to weather- and what was going to happen in it's place. Communication was excellent.
My sister and I attended some fitness classes with Vernon- OMG is all i can say. Next level awesome at his job. You can tell right away he is passionate about it.

POOL/BEACH: We loved that there were so many pools, hot tubs, water slides and a lazy river to choose from. For kids and adults alike. Pools were all in good condition and cleaned daily- a bit on the cool side, but refreshing. We were initially excited to use the Harmony side, but found ourselves mostly over at Splash having fun with the family. We did notice on the Harmony side that most adults played the chair game starting at 7am, and by 8am there were no seats left.
While it is true that the beach spot here is not as amazing as the resorts on the west coast, the beach was long and clean and beautiful in it's own way. Paradise beach was just a short walk down- which had a nice bar, food spot, chairs and a clean area for swimming. We enjoyed our time here.

FOOD: Buffet was always a hit. There was something for everyone and the food was always hot and fresh. Staff were usually quite quick at refilling when empty. We were shocked at how good the food was, and how varied the choices were. We had several picky eaters in our group and they always found something to fill up on. We loved the omelette and pasta stations. Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options as well. Breakfast service was always pleasant but coffee/water service was hit or miss here. Lunch and dinner drink service was always on point.
We dined at Trattoria a-la-carte which we enjoyed. Service by Shantel was top notch, efficient and friendly.
We loved Jerk Shack and Flip Flops for lunches most days. We loved their poolside and late night menu- so many options for everyone!!! Snacks of nachos, fruit, hotdogs and self-serve soft drinks were always available. It could get very busy here but the staff always handled it with grace and smiling faces.
We had 1 incident of a burger not being cooked properly- it was addressed, we received an apology and new food was cooked. Excellent customer service in the moment.

Staff ALWAYS seated our large group for breakfast and dinners each day with NO issues- only once did we have to have 2 separate tables, which was understandable. They always had a table ready in under 3 mins. We have never had this kind of service anywhere else. No eye rolling, no huffing......just pure efficient friendly service.
Shout outs to some amazing staff who made our meal times so very memorable:
Shekina, Quincy, Jonathan, Knight, Faith, Maria, Rockson, Raaz(sp?), Skeet and so many more. Such a pleasure to be taken care of by them.

DRINKS: Pleasantly surprised with the quality of alcohol. The bar NEVER ran out of popular ingredients/mixers etc. Top shelf brands available. Bartenders Nick, Ersking, Claude and Godfrey made sure our whole family was taken care of every night. Drink service around the pool and around the lobby was phenominal. Dona D. and Jedi were always checking in, bringing drinks, offering whatever they could to make our stay more enjoyable.

SPA: My husband and I both had massage treatments which were excellent and well-priced. I highly recommend the oceanfront cabana massage. Pure relaxation. Locker rooms for changing/showering post treatment were a fancy addition to an already great experience. Booking via Kim at the desk was easy. Treatment with Taryn (sp?) was professional and enjoyable. They even assisted my husband who is visually impaired to wait for me while I finished. He felt so comfortable and safe, which left a big impression on me. Thanks to the spa staff.

DEPARTURE: We had some delays with our airline and our shuttle never showed up. Front desk staff sprung into action and offered us their complimentary shuttle at an appropriate time. We couldn't believe how seamless they made this- was very impressed.

MISCELLANEOUS: Attie and Tiffany G. at the excursions desk are some lovely people. While we did not book an excursion on this visit to the island, Tiffany takes excellent care of the resident dog, Lucy. The staff care about Lucy so much, it was so heartwarming to see. She's an awesome addition to the resort. Lucy has a bed at the excursions desk, so we made it a point to stop by and say hi to the staff.
Not many cats, but we did see 2 (Midnight and Ginger). They were not bothersome and did not solicit attention unless you approached.

Had the pleasure of meeting Michael, the GM. We spoke to him about how Sandals has nothing on this place in many ways, and we weren't kidding. He was friendly, visible and approachable. Was willing to hear praise and criticism. He took pride in the staff and the resort- and staff we spoke to spoke very highly of the management. We noticed the staff seemed genuinely happy to be at work and took pride in Coconut Bay. Many staff have worked there a long time- which speaks volumes to me as a consumer.

Our only room for improvement would be the Wifi. Many of us were unable to connect or only had it outside the fitness centre?? We could not get any down in room 152 or 148- but family in 136 Harmony and 106,107 and 121 Splash had no issues. I wasn't able to connect long enough or in a comfortable place to get work done. While it was nice to disconnect, this did add some extra stress for me and wasn't ideal. Of course this was the one time we had an issue at home and I needed to be more available.
That being said, we could adapt and incur charges with our provider....but shouldn't have to. Would love to see improved wifi in the future.

Coconut Bay has been the biggest surprise of my travel life. WOW is all I can say.
Since Covid, we have been finding that many resorts are struggling with customer service, staffing shortages and supply shortages. NOT HERE!!!!
We hope to see it again soon!

Stayed at Coconut Bay a week ago and it was an absolutely fabulous experience! The hotel has clearly been newly renovated, and it shows—everything was modern, pristine, and thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation.

My garden view ground floor room was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered stunning views of the island's natural beauty. The bed was so comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch.

The staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. Main dining room (buffet) staff were all so friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in ensuring I had a great time. Whether it was recommendations for activities or accommodating special requests, nothing was too much trouble.

Not a drinker so I cannot speak about the cocktails but the Jerk Tree Hut is a must for lunch. The location was ideal (you could literally walk from the airport), offering easy access to the beach and other attractions. Whether I was lounging by the pool or in a hammock on the beach catching a snooze, or enjoying the incredible sunset views, every moment felt magical.

I couldn’t recommend Coconut Bay more highly! If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway in Saint Lucia, this is the place to be. I can’t wait to come back!

My family and I had the most magical experience at Coconut Bay Resort!! From arrival to departure, every aspect was fantastic. The harmony pool was never crowded and we were able to enjoy beach front comfy chairs and spacious hot tub each day.

The service was outstanding!! Meliska and Esther, our daytime and nighttime attendants, kept our rooms spotless and left thoughtful notes each day. They also helped arrange a beautiful surprise for my mom’s birthday, complete with cake balls, balloons, cake, and champagne! At the spa, Kim’s massage was relaxing and restorative.

Now the food and drinks - we loved all three dining venues for dinner and all the bar staff were friendly and made amazing drinks - especially Eran who brought the best energy and made an incredible spicy margarita! We tried to find wherever he was everyday because he was so fun and sweet! Last but not least, Harley and Shanhil at the Jerk Tree House were serving up the most amazing jerk chicken, sausage, rice/beans and plantains! We went there every.single.day for lunch and it was still not enough! We’re all still thinking about it. Those guys are chef magicians and also so friendly.

TLDR: We loved our stay and everything was flawless! Special shoutouts to Eran and Harley for being super sweet, welcoming, and FUN!!! Y’all are the best.

Coconut Bay was our 2nd hotel stay in St. Lucia and we loved our stay. It’s located about 10 minutes from the airport.

We had a room in the Harmony (adult only) section of the hotel. We loved that there were adult only areas within the resort so, whilst there were children at the resort, we saw them so infrequently.

The rooms were well equipped with everything you need and also an individual ice maker! The bathroom amenities are Molton Brown so we felt spoiled. The mini bar is re-stocked daily and included soft drinks, beer and a bottle of wine.

We did go to every single pool and the non-adult only pools had activities and landscaping that would appeal to everyone. The kids pool/foam party was high energy and had me bopping along with the other families. The kids were having so much fun and took me back to my youth!

The facilities for those with families is first class. A large dedicated area with activities and babysitting services. Indoor and outdoor places to play and engage with a full schedule available for parents to choose from. I wish I had taken my son here when he was young!

A lazy river and 2 swirly slides for all ages was enjoyed by us and all the others it seemed.

The resort is clean and well tended. The hotel does go through fogging which helps keep the bugs at bay. I’ve only been bitten twice, which is the least amount I’ve ever experienced.

The buffet restaurant is well tended, varied and no flies anywhere. There was a theme each day so you could decide whether the menu was for you then look at dining elsewhere. The quick service Flip Flop was much better than expected; all the food is cooked to order and you’re given a buzzer to return and collect once cooked.

We only then ate at Silk, the Asian restaurant which was great. We were waitlisted however the maitre d worked her magic and found us a table, for which we were grateful. Our server Shett was amazing; he sought a sample of the lamb curry sauce so I could make an informed choice on whether it would suit my palette, which it did and it was a fab above and beyond service moment.

The beach is on the Atlantic coast so is quite rough so it didn’t tempt me to bathe in the sea.

We didn’t use the spa however the services are extensive and the setting is wonderful.

There weren’t any spare rooms to be able to pay for a late check out however there are shower facilities that can be used to freshen up before leaving resort. As our flight was at 21:00 this was invaluable. We could use all the facilities until we left.

Whilst the airport is close by, the flights don’t operate all hours and the odd few we saw didn’t disturb us although we do like to be geeks about seeing planes fly over!

We would consider returning to this hotel and will recommend to others we know.

All the convenience of an all inclusive with a custom, personal vibe. The service was fantastic, not too much or too little. Clean, many options from pool side seating, to beach seating. Had amazing ocean side massage. Food so good! My family’s favorite touch was the “petting zoo” on site. We went every morning to see the puppies (available for adoption), goats, donkeys, chickens, and bunny’s. On the last day we finally met the man behind the operation, Tom. He warmed my heart with his thought and care for the animals. The pens are kept very clean and he takes dogs out to run around 2 hours per day. All the animals look good and happy. Well fed and clean. As a former animal sanctuary care taker, I was very pleased. See photos attached to contact if you are in the market for a puppy!! ❤️
I was also blown away by the beach bar and kite shack at the end of the resort beach. All part of the resort but so personal and unique. Could bill stuff to room if you want. Great wind for kiting. Go see Tyron at the bar!!
We hiked the Gros Pitón our second day there (glad we did, while our motivation and excitement was at its peak, because we needed it!) two hours up and two hours down. Good challenge. Great guides. The resort scheduled our taxi there and back ($50/person) and $50/ person for guide. Great experience. Felt accomplished for the rest of the week! I also did water aerobics in the pool mornings at 11 and jogged two miles around the resort throughout the week.
I usually rent airbnbs when I vacation so I was not sure how this experience would be, but iñeverything about it exceeded my expectations. Even the daily room attendant left us inspirational notes with towels in animal shapes :-)
Hope you go and have fun!

Three generations of a family experienced the holiday of a lifetime at Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa from 2-12 June 2024. The staff are professional and personable with exceptional customer service from Bertha & Shekina who were attentive, patient, and kind.

I can recommend this resort for people who have additional mobility requirements. Our eldest traveller (79) was given the use of a wheelchair on arrival and we had rides on an electric buggy to take us to and collect us from Paradise Beach. Staff and guests offered assistance when moving around and when Grandad was entering and exiting the hot tub which was welcomed and appreciated.

As per previous reviews there is a variety of food, drink, and entertainment to please everyone. The foam party was enjoyed by our youngest traveller (21), the spa treatments were amazing, and breakfast on the adults only veranda was a treat we took on a few occasions.

A couple of tips: There are UK sockets as well as USA types A & B in the rooms so bring adapters to make use of these assets. Secondly, leave your towel at home. Towels in your room are changed daily; beach towels are available at both Splash and Harmony sides; and we were provided with towels when we arranged a trip to the mud baths at Soufriere.

Tiffany organised a drive to the Gros Islet Street Party on Friday night and followed up on how it went when we met in the lobby a few days later which was a nice touch. We celebrated birthdays whilst on vacation and appreciated Cassey decorating our room at short notice as well as keeping everything clean and tidy. Melissa in the store was very helpful and gave us a steer on the offers available at the on site duty free shop. We bought home some coconut rum and banana ketchup which we look forward to tasting soon.

We would like to return to Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa when the rooms are renovated so we can enjoy the improvements.

We just returned from our stay (April 21-26, 2024) on the Harmony side of Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa. This resort is only 5 minutes from the Hewanorra airport in St. Lucia so you can immediately start your vacation time. The airport transfers to and from the airport were included in our all inclusive stay.

The most impressive part of our stay was how affordable our trip package was booked thru Costco travel, anytime you can stay on the 4th floor on the Concierge level all inclusive package for 6 nights for less than $2700 (not including airfare) you have a very nice vacation.
I was able to meet with the new General Manager, John, and the reason for meeting with him was to pay compliments to many of his staff for our first 4 days stay. John told me of upcoming updates to the property as well as a loyalty points program.
We stayed at the adult pool on the Harmany side where Zennia made sure we had drinks as we needed them and she was assigned to this pool for most of our stay.

We enjoyed the Tratorria Italian restaurant the most, however Calabash surf and turf, and Veranda were very good. At Silk we enjoyed for the sushi and grilled kingfish. For lunch the Jerk shack had very good jerk chicken with rice and beans. To me the best spot for breakfast was Veranda, however service was spot on one time the other times it took awhile to prepare.

Our housekeeping was done by Melikka and she was so good we made sure to tip her extra for outstanding service. I am going to do another quick review once i find the card I kept all week of the other staff that gave us such great service.

My husband and I booked this resort last minute, while we were in St Lucia at a friend’s house.
We were pleased with all the services from the time we arrived with the welcome drinks and the towels until we left to the airport with the shuttle van.

Over all it was excellent service with very friendly accommodating polite service people. We will definitely return again.

We were in the Harmony adult area and loved our ground level room with the porch. The view was beautiful with the surrounding landscape as I’m a nature lover. Harmony adult pool and the bar was quite. We believe it became a little crowded in the late evenings, but we are not party ppl so didn’t affect us.

The room and the bathroom was very clean and comfortable. The AC was great. The bathroom was very small. The room was cleaned daily and the maid left sweet notes and flowers.

Our favourite a la cart restaurants were Calabash and the Silk. The servers were excellent. The gourmet food was unique and delicious. I wish La Luna and the other exclusive restaurant didn’t have an extra surcharge!! As we paid premium prices.

Why are there not any shellfish such as shrimp scallops lobsters very scarce in the resort or in general in St Lucia Island restaurants!!
The Market place breakfast and lunch buffets had a good selection of food. They were average. Provided lots of great freshly cooked food stations. Wish they had more local fruits such as papaya and vegetables. Understood it was not the soursop and mango Not canned pears and imported cantaloupe and honey dews. Appreciated the healthy and gluten free options with smoothies yogurt’s and granola and grains. Over all the dining experience was great.

The bars were good and the bar tenders made me less sugar and less acidic cocktails due to health concerns.

The pools were good, we participated in the water aerobics program.

Met some friendly nice travellers from England.

Thank you for your great hospitality and service.

Upon our arrival, we got off to a terrible start and almost canceled our reservation once we started checking in. The Resort only offered a single King-Size bedroom instead of the two Queen Beds that I had reserved. Initially, I was told to use the Sofa. It wasn't a Sofa Bed, just a Sofa, and that remark worsened the situation. No other rooms were offered, and the manager, James, only offered a rollaway bed. I requested a credit or adjustment and was told NO. Since the Resort was prepaid, a late cancelation to find another Resort would cost us the entire amount. We were given a third-floor room that had been recently renovated and a rollaway bed. Since the Resort was renovating several rooms on the third floor, we saw beds stored and stacked in a nearby room, and one bed could have been moved into our room instead of the rollaway bed. To us, it appears that the resort staff didn't care.
Despite my room change request, no one on their staff contacted us when a room with two queen beds was available. It was up to me to contact the front desk daily and work with their Reservation department to get a room change. Finally, a room change was made, and we moved ourselves to a room that had not been renovated yet. Later, Security came to the room and asked why we were there. I told him about our experience and suggested that he contact the front desk or resort management.

Our main planned activity for the island was to go on snorkeling trips. The resort has their own vendors for excursions. Your Sail and Snorkel excursion stops were to include Jalousie and Anse Chastanet Beaches, which seemed to be the perfect trip for us. Anse Chastanet Beach is the highest-rated snorkel stop on the island, so we were excited about your tour. Jalousie/Sugar Beach was a good snorkel location for beginners. We expected to sail to our second stop Anse Chastanet Beach, but instead, the boat took us to a rocky area on Soufriere Bay to snorkel. This unexpected change was a major disappointment, and it felt like the Resort had misled us. I complained to the Excursion Desk, but they didn't seem to care and suggested that we try other excursions, which added to our frustration.

We did not spend time on the beach. Recommend making reservations for restaurants in advance. Towels arfe available - we took some on excursions. 5 minutes from airport. Fridge stocked with water everyday, but found local water at resort fine to drink. Rooms cleaned well everyday.

We just came back and water was fabulous. Very clear and very little seaweed, but I understand that can change with storms and winds. Water was very warm last week (first week of Jan) and clear.
