Thanks to the brick walls, the Safari Luxury Bungalows have a characteristic look and raw charm. The rooms are furnished with a double bed and one single bed, with on request a maximum of one double bed and two single beds. There is a seating area with a Chesterfield sofa, a bathroom with a washbasin, bathtub, shower and toilet. The Safari Luxury Bungalow is 60 square meters. Each room has its own private balcony of 10 square meters, nicely decorated with wooden furniture and offering a 180-degree view with on the left side Lake Eyasi and on the right the Ngorongoro Highland
With phase one complete and accepting guests, they're almost perfect. Did wellings are hardened made out of brick with balconies in each room. They only have 10 rooms currently available. Each room has a full bathroom shower and toilet included. The guest room in our double room would have easily slept three. It had a portable air conditioner and a copy pot with t and coffee available to having your room. The room was very comfortable. The dining area was also very comfortable, meals were either plated or served buffet style. They even honored special requests for the picky eaters in my group. The only downside to staying here was access to the reception area for question to problems. There are no phones or walkie-talkies in the rooms. One would have to go out of their room flag down a security guard and have them tell reception that they were needed. This problem can be easily solved so expect when they open phase two and phase three they will have this at hand.

A very attractive lodge outside of Karatu towards Ngorongoro. It is newly built and some construction of additional buildings is still going on at the premises. Being made of brick, it is quite unusual (refreshingly so) for a typical lodge in the area, with very comfortable, clean and well-designed rooms with fantastic balconies offering stupendous views. Welcoming and friendly staff and tasty food. Beware though of the 6 km access road that gets extremely muddy after the heavy rains, particularly a short stretch about 1,5 km from the main road. Hopefully the lodge will in the future invest in the repair of this little stretch of the access road, to avoid their guests getting stuck in the mud and thus losing some valuable time, and so improving the overall experience of this lovely place.

The Lodge is now, having opened in July 2023 and part of a larger group of hotels. It's well run & the, staff go out of their way to look after you, especially Steve the manager and Joseph and their team ! Thank you very much. Suggest you have your driver call the lodge for directions as it's on a 6.9 km from the highway on a dirt road and GPS location is incorrect ! The location overlooking a quiet valley & beautiful sunset views well worth the 15 min bumpy ride ! It's new and few guests and meals are basic but adequate and well done They also check on preferences and had a wonderful Tanzanian meal for us at Dinner one evening ! Perfect for a two night stay to visit Ngorongorro & manyara Lake !

The lodge is a good location with spacious rooms. We stayed triple occupancy for 2 nights. However the food choice especially dinner and lunch box were not tasty and we barely ate. No wifi in the rooms. Issues with hot water pressure and drainage of water in the shower. Staff is pleasant.

This place was a total let-down, man. We got there late after lunch, starving from the long drive from Tarangire. The managers even tried to make us pay for lunch, even though we had already paid for full board. The rooms were horrible, like we were in prison or something. They didn't even bother to clean them every day. And the chefs in the kitchen were so loud, we could hear them in our room. The waiters were super lazy, always on their phones and never coming to help unless we called them. The manager was just as bad, didn't seem to care about any of the problems. And the breakfast was disgusting, like they made pancakes once a week and used them for the whole seven days. The food was just plain bad. We expected so much more, but I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Our self-drive tour took us here after Ngoro-goro on the way to Arusha airport. We were used to very bad roads (in Serengeti & NCA) but the road to the Lodge was certainly just as bad. (during this heavy rain season) New bungalows are being built just in front of the reception, but if you look beyond that, the rest of the resort is really perfect! The Manager is super friendly and helps you make choices. The F&B Manager adapts the menu for the children and actually all the staff is super sweet. The bungalow is a bit warm at night, but the nice shower and large bed are perfect. Each room has a double and a single bed. The open kitchen prepares delicious food, the eggs are made to your liking. If you order a drink in the bar, it is often accompanied by some popcorn or chips. All in all a nice chill spot on the way home or on the way to the parks!! And the price-quality ratio is really good considering the other lodges!

We had already read about the bumpy journey in advance but to really experience this is something else The trail is rewarded with a warm welcome by the staff and a wonderful view over the countryside. The newly built lodge is great laid out and the rooms are beautifully decorated. As in the other “Africa Safari” lodges, the bed is comfortable with a good mattress, mosquito nets and pleasant cushions. A well-equipped bathroom with ample storage space and a balcony overlooking the sunset over the Ngorongoro Highlands. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant are buffet style and offer something for everyone. Unfortunately, we only spent one night here and had no time to enjoy the pool. The hotel is adding even more – I hope there will be enough rooms for the drivers. Our driver had to drive the route back to Karatu and find accommodation in the village in the evening. Despite this drop in anger, we enjoyed our time and were impressed by the location and facilities of the hotel.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The pictures in the brochure don't do this place justice. The drive to it was a bit far off the main road but fun to see the local farms. The view is amazing, looking over both valleys. The rooms overlook sunset across the valley and you can sit in comfortable chairs on your own balcony to watch. The pool was refreshing. Highly recommend a visit for relaxation after a long day.

The pictures posted do not do it justice. Staff go over and beyond to assist with your every need. Wifi can be spotty but it's a minor inconvenience. The balconies give a beautiful sunset view of the Ngorongoro Crater while enjoying the birds sing. Thank you so much for making our stay with you so special.
