Beautiful property managed by swindlers. Never pay for anything in advance, you'll be kissing money goodbye. Maintenance is all but non-existent. "Tomorrow" means it will never happen and you'll never see us again.
We stayed for a month with our 1 year old daughter and it was ideal for a family holiday. The resort is so relaxing and clean and the staff could not be more helpful and friendly. The multiple swimming pools provide something for everyone and the restaurant provides great food pool side. The beach is just the most spectacular I have ever seen. Incredible natural beauty everywhere and the staff keep everything so clean and nice. We will be back. Highly recommend.
Love this hotel and its restaurant right on Coson beach. Try the wood oven pizza, its delicious. The service is a little slow but their restaurant is excellent and I love the wine choices as well. Big pool or beach right in front.
I had visited Coson Bay over the past 4 years and alwsays had a great experience over there. The place is beautiful and food is amazing. Our group alwsays had a great time. Don't forget to order the pina-coladas at the bar they are delicious
Coson Bay has one of the best beaches I have ever visited, stunning turquoise waters and not too deep or too shallow. A real pleasure. The sunsets are stunning and all this united to a very good restaurant with the fresh catch of the day and the comfortable rooms is a relaxing experience. Will be back soon !!
Just back from Coson Bay Hotel and could not have been happier with our choice of stay. A condo hotel, some of the units are owned and some are rented out through the hotel but are a mix of very comfortable and well equipped two or three bedroom units. Nicely landscaped and on one of the most beautiful beaches in the area, the setting and location are magical. The staff are very warm and friendly and, although we had our own kitchen, the on site Ocean Grill was where we ate our meals. The food and drinks were well prepared, delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. Special shout out to our wonderful servers Freddy, Pedro, Daniel, Jonathan and the rest of the staff whose names we’ve forgotten. Thank you for a memorable holiday, we hope to be able to return sooner than later! (One note I should mention is that there will be construction beginning in May on the next block of buildings in the complex and the resort will be closed for the month of September. They are aiming for minimal disruption to the rest of the property during this period.)…
I stayed a month in coson bay hotel for work, and i will definitely come back here. Claudio and his staff are super nice, professional... such nice people. Hugo gonna help you for everthing during the time you are here. Appartements are modern, clean and very confortable. But most of it, this is the people of the hotel who gonna make you want to stay because they make you feel like you are at home! I definitely recommand that place!
We spent a week at Coson Bay Resort and have the best memories of it. We traveled as 2 families (4 adults and 2 16 year old girls) and had very comfortable 3 bedroom accomodations. There were plenty of room for all of us, with 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, full kitchen and several balconies. It's located a few steps from a private beach which was never crowded - in fact, most of the time we didn't even see any people and there were always plenty of lounge chairs to choose from, under beautiful palm trees. They have a fantastic restaurant on the property - Ocean Grill - that we dined at daily, and their food is delicious and their service is fantastic. We met such friendly people at the resort and the restaurant - and even though some of them spoke very little English (and we spoke very little Spanish) - we somehow understood each other and had a great time! Thank you to Pedro Pablo, Claudio, Hugo, Jonathan, Basilia and many others whose names I didn't catch for the hospitality! The resort is a few kilometers away from the town - but it was a very easy taxi ride to the grocery stores and the restaurants in the area. The front desk (thank you Hugo!) was very helpful in organizing the taxi rides, making reservations at the restaurants and booking the tours. You can be as busy or as relaxed as you wish at this place. There is a lot to see and do at the area, but we were always looking forward to return to this tranquil place of beauty and peace. A couple of restaurants we visited and can recommend (besides our favorite Ocean Grill, of course) are Luis Restaurant (30 minutes walk along the beach or a quick taxi ride) and Poca Cabana in town. We went to see the El Limon waterfall with Peninsula Tour (recommended by the hotel) and had a great time. All in all, we had a great time at Coson Bay and looking forward to return!…
I came to Coson Bay Hotel and Residence, an apartment with hotel services, with my wife, two daughters, and a son. We stayed at a two bedrooms apartment for the New Year holiday. The place was great. The hotel is closed to the beach, and you can walk to it in minutes. Once in the beach you can walk along for miles, back and forth, in a nice, sandy beach, which is never crowded. Nearby, there is a popular, local, seafood place to eat, and fairly priced. You can choose your fish, lobster and lambí, and they will cook it for you either fried or grilled, with deep fried Dominican plantain, rice and beans. You can also buy your coconut, and drink it directly from the coconut shell. The utilities in the hotel work well. The apartment is confortable. The air conditioning works well, so is the hot water. The service is very friendly, and not feigned. The kitchen is fairly well equipped with refrigerator, ovens, microwave, and kitchen utensils. The linens and towels, clean and crispy. Cable TV is not very good, and they could improve on that. The quality of cable tv in the DR is very good, and for people staying longer it might make a difference in the quality of their stay. I cannot give you an opinion over the food. We only had breakfast. It was good, but the same all days if it is included in your plan. However, you can pay if you want a different one. Overall, it is a great place to stay. I would return again. …
I stayed at the CBH in November. It was pretty much empty except for a few other families. Our room was really clean and spacious. I believe it was the superior 2 bedroom apartment. The staff was very pleasant and accomodating. The pool area was nice but the pool wasn't very warm so we didn't really use it too much. Location is good but there are no shops nearby so we felt a bit isolated. The fitness center was under construction so we weren't able to use it unfortunately. Our friends who also stayed in the hotel didn't have as good of an experience as we did unfortunately. Their room apparently wasn't as well furnished as ours was, and they had difficulty arranging transportation with the staff. I'm not sure of all the details. When I contacted the staff via my booking website (travelocity) I was able to get ahold of someone who helped me with room selection and transportation.…
