This resort is great. Better than 5* resorts that I have been to before in Cancun. Food was really good. Make sure to try the wood oven pizza they have at the snack bar. Room was cleaned well and fridge re-stocked every day. We did not have issues with humidity in the room, but maybe that is because our AC sensor was not working (our AC was running 24/7). The beach was the best - have not been to a better one yet. The service at the bar is quick, even though there is only one bar until 5pm every day. Also, alcohol quality at the resort is better than ones that I have been to in Cancun. the only criticism that I have relates to the lack of shade on the beach. You will have to move your chair throughout the day

Wow! What a gorgeous experience this resort is. I traveled from America with my husband and we truly had the most beautiful, relaxing experience The food, the spa, the resort’s natural beauty were all exceptional but the one thing that made the difference was the people that work here. They are truly exceptional people with such warm and welcoming energy! Deter aka Super Deter is the supervisor at La Marche and his customer service was truly exceptional. Such an awesome person! The food quality was always changing and unique flavors. Our favorite was the taco stand, the Dominican traditional food and the fruits. The juiciest mangoes and pinas! We loved the ala carte restaurant, Fusion also as they had some interesting takes on international cuisine. Coconut Whisper Spa is a fascinating spa where you will find the most beautiful moments of relaxation. We loved it so much we went twice. I highly recommend Yesenia, Marcia and Yolcairis! Their hands are truly a work of art. Like angels. We highly highly recommend the Coconut Whisper Scrub treatment (Socorro de Coco) omg! Truly the best spa experience ever. They make every scrub, cream, spread and facial freshly that day. You get a hair treatment, body scrub, facial and massage - all in one treatment. The beach and the natural beauty of this place is truly indescribable. I will come back with family and friends next time and if you’re planning to visit this in the future, I suggest going with an open heart, and admiration for life! Because we are truly so lucky to experience such a beautiful vacation! P.S. we felt safe the entire time :)

What a beautiful hotel! So clean and everyone is so hospitable. The food was great. Every day they had something new to try at the buffet. We also had an Amazing entertainment group! Nikki, Chocolate, Jordan, and I feel bad I forgot the others names but they were amazing! The dance shows they made and the daily activities they provided were awesome. My husband and I don’t drink and we didn’t feel bored at all. I can’t thank this place enough for a wonderful experience we also met great people there and made new friends. I can’t wait to go back again soon.❤️

Well... first let me start by saying Thank you to Wanderley and Jose at the canoe section..... every one else in this place is just pure lazy. The Manager Lodya I wouldn’t even say ages a Manager as she possesses no hospitality skills....My husband and I were being harassed as we were trying to voice our concerns to her, she took it as a personal attack and turned around as such so she could walk away and not deal with the problem and her only response was “you don’t know how crazy I can get “ when we were trying to tell her that we didn’t want things to get worse. ( problem was with other travelers not with the staff). The lack of food was ridiculous for an ALL ADULT complete joke!. No body greets you nobody simply says hola. They all gather around and talk. The staff eat and take there lunch breaks where the guest eat. I have been to many resorts and I honestly can say your better off in Cuba! I can go on and on but I don’t even want to give it any more of my energy. Oh and one more thing don’t bother waking up early for beach chairs.... I was up at 5am and all the chairs were taken found out that people leave there towels the night before.... of course the security are probably sleeping somewhere. And I’m not a picky traveler at all....I’ve been to 3 stars and 5 stars....if the people are right and know customer service then anything can be a 5 star. But when you lack hotel customer service that’s the worse. I think the Manager needs to take a lesson or two on it. The only thing that I’ll remember from this place are the sunsets.

We also informed you that our security staff was always available in case you felt threatened in any way and offered you complete assistance. It Is regrettable that this conversation may have been taken out of context in this review. With that said, once again we apologize for this perception and regret your experience was not positive. I took my mother to Samana in April 2019 and we decided to stay at an adults only resort for a change. We have visited Samana several times in the past and love it there. I booked a week at the Viva Wyndham V Samana based on the pictures and reviews on their website and we weren't disappointed. I wish we could have stayed a month! We absolutely loved it! The resort has a very Zen vibe, with lots of comfy places to curl up with a good book, take a nap or just relax. The showpiece of the resort is the pool, with 6 cabana beds situated around it with comfy double wide beds and flowing white curtains. I was lucky to get one of these cabanas 4 days out of our week long visit and relaxing in them was sheer heaven. Needless to say they are very popular! But there are also plenty of quality lounge chairs and a few large wicker beds situated around the pool, so there was always a great place to relax for the day. There are also umbrellas for those that want to stay in the shade, which was great for both my Mother and I. When you first arrive at the resort you might think it's rather plain, but once you're past the reception area you come upon a large promenade that takes you to the pool. On the way to the pool there are 4 tall, open wooden structures that have loveseats and footstools within. The structures are surrounded by beautiful pools of water that light up at night. We enjoyed relaxing here after dinner and listening to the evening's entertainment that was close by. Other people would also relax in this area and get up to dance to the singer who was performing that night. The lights of the pool also added to the ambience, making the whole promenade and pool area glisten like a gem in the evening. It was very pretty and peaceful. We enjoyed the buffet and other restaurants, especially Fusion. The food was excellent - especially the soups - and there was lots of variety. The service was great, with everyone at the resort being very friendly and helpful. When we first arrived I was very disappointed to find out we were on the second floor, as my Mother uses a cane and I had explicitly requested a ground floor room. After asking for the Manager we were expertly assisted by Nery Calcano, who quickly made some changes and got us into a ground floor room that was centrally located. We couldn't have been happier with it, as it had a wonderful patio area that looked over the grounds and included it's own plunge pool! This was a real added bonus and we are grateful that Nery could make it happen for us. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Viva Wyndham V Samana and we highly recommend it. I kept thinking of my next visit and how much my sisters would enjoy the resort as I did. I can't wait to go back!!
