...After (allegedly) attempting to find my reservation for about 30 minutes, and having shown them the AirBnB reservation in my cellphone, we were essentially told that we would have to buy a new reservation, but at almost double the price because of the season and availability... To be able to stay at the hotel, we went from having paid 580 USD for a three nights stay to paying 990 USD for the same amount of time... I can imagine someone coming with their family for a week or more and having to pay double the price... (AirBnB refunded the original 580 USD)...

...However not all resorts are perfect, beware of the front desk fishermen inviting you to experience their VIP, 60 minutes presentation became 3 hours, worst waste of time I feel, they remarket the term timeshare and made it their own program looking for you to invite 10 to 14 thousand dollars. Once you denied their offer, they ignored you and their service turn into garbage... Reservation to their restaurants are alway booked and I feel that they just reserved it for people who are VIP in other words, they turn their resorts into social classes...

The hotel advertises unlimited a la carte dining with no reservations required… there’s nothing further from the truth because the a la carte restaurants are always full and they take no reservations so bottom line it’s a false advertising because you can’t dine a la carte and you can’t reserve so the only way to get in is to wait early at the door and hope you’re going to be lucky enough to get in...

This hotel is at best a 3 1/2 stars... There is no option for more quality drinks and no access to quality alcohol unless you are part of a VIP group (which we didn’t know about before booking)... I dont know if it’s related but I was very sick after eating there which messed up my whole night and the next day.. Viva whyndam club: We get pressured by 3 staff members with green t-shirts every day to buy in a Viva club membership until I had to express my thoughts about the hotel for them to stop following me around... The evaluation from Air Canada vacations is more than misleading... When I asked to change hotels, I was offered a transfer for an extra 1400$ which was about the price of a new hotel reservation (I checked online) and not the price difference between the 2 hotels which I was more than willing to pay... I am more than disappointed in air canada vacations and this hotel...

...We had our own area to order drinks and a certain area to eat at the buffet... But by far the best part of the buffet experience was the service we received in our VIP section of the buffet, Daniel was always there to help us out with mimosas and much needed coffee every morning... The bartenders at both of the bars were amazing and had a great time with my husband who found a new whiskey, Chivas, and they loved teasing him into saying it correctly... But please remember service at the restaurants is on island time so if you want a quicker dining experience I would suggest the buffet... We also did room service which was excellent... Our fridge and air conditioning worked well...

...A specific notification regarding the activities and animation team that are really great from the visiting Yoga Teachers to the in-house daily animators. A specific mention to the gym where the coach Jorge is fabulous, attentive to individual needs and very professionnal... Yet disappointing when it comes to the spa service expensive and not really great, not very nice staff on the top of it...

...I liked the fact that we could use a large selection of water toys for free including paddleboards, wind surfers, boogie boards and kayaks... Tennis racquets were available to sign out if you wanted them... The food was very good overall and the staff were extremely nice...

We rebooked this trip x2 due to COVID... At the al a Cartes, service was very slow... Beverage service in the buffet was almost non-existent... Only got café twice for breakfast, despite daily requests... We generally tip $1US per drink, $5pp per meal... We doubled that and still had inconsistent service... It appeared as though staff were new, and some being trained... A shout out to Samy at the beach bar who was amazing... Most days there was no water anywhere in the resort late afternoon eg toilets, showers, vanities etc... Yesterday was the worst with no water from 4pm to 6:30... Wifi is good except at the beach...

...This time of the year was not so busy, not a lot of people in the resort even though they couldn’t provide 4.5 star service. Icecream scoop was broken for 4 days until we asked chef to change it... We get the new one next day...

...It was great that we didn't need to hunt for beach towels you can just grab them near the pool and drop them to the same place... The customer service is great whenever we had small issues they were addressed fast and always with the smile ...

...We personally preferred the "Fusion" and "Mar & Fuego"... In the buffet "Marché International", most of the waiters used to clear your plates when you haven't finished eating... The worse experience was our diner in the Mediterrenas restaurant... I ordered a "blue" beef filet (3min to cook) but I had to wait for more than 1hour 1/2 before being delivered...

...The staff goes out there way to make you feel welcome. Moises who served us at most a la carte dinners and breakfast was so friendly and professional and provided service with a smile...

The hotel advertises unlimited a la carte dining with no reservations required… there’s nothing further from the truth because the a la carte restaurants are always full and they take no reservations so bottom line it’s a false advertising because you can’t dine a la carte and you can’t reserve so the only way to get in is to wait early at the door and hope you’re going to be lucky enough to get in...

...We spent 7 days at this resort and had the best time. We were with people who were owners and enjoyed the VIP experience immensely... We had our own area to order drinks and a certain area to eat at the buffet... The buffet had a huge variety of food so even the pickiest guest will be able to find something... But by far the best part of the buffet experience was the service we received in our VIP section of the buffet, Daniel was always there to help us out with mimosas and much needed coffee every morning... We also did room service which was excellent... The owner's rooftop pool and private bar were lovely, and I wished we used it more, but the beach and pool were so beautiful we spent most of our time there... Our room was very nice with a great view of the ocean and a nice balcony... Our fridge and air conditioning worked well...

We first met Regina, who is an incredible spirit and so lively, Wagner, Ludmy, brilliant energy and great welcome and introduction to the resort... Marcelo, Diego, Willi, and Marco at the water and sports area... Offering parasailing, surfboards, boogieboards, archery, volleyball, and more... Will absolutely be back and certainly recommend to visit... The hotel itsself has modern yet tropical aesthetics... Considering the compact size of the resort, the amenities offered were thought through and quality, catering to a variety of level of activity you want to have... From relaxing and quiet areas to fun and energetic...

The resort was beautiful, plenty of seating around the pool and beach. The minibar in the room was restocked daily with water and other beverages... The only negative is that the Wi-Fi isn’t the strongest and is pretty spotty at various areas around the resort...

Very nice resort -gorgeous resort set up, grounds and scenery. Best entertainment ever and we have been to a lot of carribean resorts... Entertainment staff were friendly as well... They always had some type of entertainment, dance or music before the team show which was nice and a small disco after... Also some people like wavy waters but with a strong undertow it was not appealing for me and I love to swim in the ocean so that was somewhat disappointing but the beach was beautiful to lay by and they had beds which we love...

...Even the bingo game numbers are called out using a microphone so the whole resort can hear it. The bars at either end of the resort play loud music that blast over the whole resort and speakers located throughout the grounds play different music...

As soon as you arrive in the lobby, you have a beautiful view on the palm trees, the pool with its amenities and the beach... Especially Regina, Francesco, and Lola were always helpful... But the best thing for me were the yoga classes Rita,a guest yoga teacher from Germany held every day... She seems to be very experienced and very friendly and attentive...

...Great resort with beautiful beach and pool and lots of fun activities. The best part of the trip was starting my day with the yoga class... She was able to make it accessable to beginners while also providing a stimulating class for the more advanced yoga students... The evening activities were fun too and the staff is very friendly and hardworking...

We were quite shocked at how this is a 5 star resort... This resort lacks basic things, access to water and coffee and appealing food... We had runny scrambled eggs that were full of shells, AC that didn’t work, towels and toilet paper scarce... The house keeping staff and gym attendants were great... We went to the gym every day just to fill our water bottles...

This is a smaller more intimate resort that was just what we needed for a relaxing vacation... The 4 restaurant options were always good... There is only one pool & no swim up bar so if you are looking for a large, social & bustling resort, this may not be for you... They were friendly & entertaining in leading activities & performing in a couple of evening shows... Beach view, outdoor yoga every morning was provided by a guest yoga instructor from NRG2GO & was the perfect way to start the day...

...A perfect birthday week trip at this gem of a resort. We came for the beach (and the whale watching); soft sand and you can walk in either direction for about an hour... We could always find a chair and the bar is right nearby... We enjoyed the boogie boarding and archery... Special thanks to Maribel the room cleaner... There are three a la carte restaurants, no reservations required... Make sure to get there before they open (or else you have to wait and there is no waitlist)... Very special thanks to Francisco (host and waiter)...

We had a really good time at this resort... You can walk for miles in either direction along the water... I liked the fact that we could use a large selection of water toys for free including paddleboards, wind surfers, boogie boards and kayaks... There were always deck chairs available at the beach but people tended to put a towel on the ones around the pool and make them looked used all day so it was sometimes harder to get chairs there... There is a also a nice gym and tennis courts... Tennis racquets were available to sign out if you wanted them... We took a basic room which was beautiful and very clean... We were on the second floor and had a great view... We tended to use the buffet for lunch and breakfast and go to the specialty restaurants for dinner... We especially liked the seafood one by the beach... WE added stopping at party island for $10 more... In the evenings there was always some sort of entertainment and a disco that opened at 11pm... We stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves... The shop on site is very expensive, especially for things like sunscreen...

...This was my first time at an all inclusive and it did not disappoint! From the moment you arrive you are met with a sense of calm and open spaces... The rooms were very clean, airy and spacious with a view of the ocean... The beach was idyllic and went on forever!... There was plenty of space and it was quiet, giving you a chance to relax and unwind... They offered a number of water toys like kayaks and paddle boards... The pool was stunning and lined with cabanas... As for the food, I am a vegetarian and they had quite a good selection of food for me including fresh fruit everyday... The three a la carte restaurants were also good... And if you like coffee, the staff are experts at making americanos and the best cappuccino I've had outside of Italy!... The gift shop had a nice selection... Id recommend picking up souvenirs there or on your excursions as the selection at the airport is limited... Can't say enough good things about this resort!...

This is a small all inclusive, adult only resort- exactly what I was looking for. I loved this resort because it was relatively small and saw the same faces all week... It was easy to make friends and see the same staff each day.The water sports are all included at no charge, even the catamaran!... The open air buffet was well situated and I appreciated the fresh air as opposed to air conditioning...

...It was our first Adult only resort in DR and we weren't disappointed. Perfect location beautiful grounds always maintained and clean... It was great that we didn't need to hunt for beach towels you can just grab them near the pool and drop them to the same place...

...The room was well put together... The bungalow rooms had a relaxation spot in the center which is very convenient as a hide away zen spot, had a restroom area as well... All the staff at the buffet were very friendly daily... Reception staff always greeted you and the gym was well equipped... Also need to work on the correct schedule for the pool jets to be turned on...
