Great place to stay, the garden and the welcome you receive from Edith indeed feels like a real fata morgana! Moreover, it's nearby playa bonita and playa coson, which are the nicest beaches we saw in the DR!

We wanted to stay in Fata Morgana for one night while we were travelling around Dominican republic, but we have stayed for three nights and after two days in Cabarete we have come back for four nights more, because this place is the most beautiful we have stayed in Dom. rep. If you like animals, beautiful beaches and relax, I... More

My hubby and I stayed here when we were dating and had a lovely time. Edit, the owner, was very accommodating and helped us organize a whale watching trip while we were there for 5 nights. She also shared with us the best local beach and bakery for hot baguettes. It was a trip I will never forget.

I loved this place so much! So relaxing and tranquil. You have your own room in a little house, with a porch and hammock. The owner is lovely, she can recommed things to do nearby. If you love animals this is the perfect place. She has about 5 rescue dogs, 2 cats and 2 donkeys that stroll around. It is... More

Fata Morgana is exactly what we wanted in a place to stay - simple, comfortable, inexpensive, nature-oriented, a short walk to town, and full of happy animals. Edit was a wealth of information on how to do stuff on the cheap. We even called her from Las Galeras to get advice on taking the bus to the airport, which saved... More

If you want a low-cost place, with your own private porch hammock, this is a great choice for the natural garden-setting, mixing the countryside with the edge of a sleepy, authentic Dominican neighborhood, only a short 400m to town. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and ending up taking a beautiful day trip of hiking/swimming/beach/boating tour with Edit, (owner) and... More

Traveling as a single female, this was a great place to hang out and meet up with other travelers from around the globe. Clean, safe, charming, friendly, & helpful. The owner, Edit, is a sweet jewel. A great place to stay for a while.

5 friends and I just stayed at this rustic gem. The price is right and the place is beautiful. The little houses that contain the rooms are situated around a beautiful garden with donkeys, dogs, lizards, and frogs. The communal kitchen is really handy. The owner and her son were excellent, customer service was superb. Plan on taking motoconchos (50... More

We are lucky to have such nice people visiting our hotel as were these 6 ladies. As for cold water showers,we have 2 rooms with hot water were we charge a little bit more.A lot of people choose the cheapest opcion as did these ladies. We try to keep the prices down so all can enjoy Samána,Las Terrenas. Edit More
