We stayed at Condo Hotel Caribey during a recent family trip to Las Terrenas. The location is by far the best part of this hotel. It's right at what used to be the fisherman's town, now a fantastic row of restaurants on the beach. You can get pretty much on foot to other nice parts of Las Terrenas for dinner just by walking along the coast, although a car could be really useful to explore well the area. The apartment we got had 2 bedrooms, a living room/kitchen combined area and a balcony. It was fine for a few days stay but I wouldn't like it for long stays. The master bedroom (if you go by bed size) had a king size bed, but no direct entrance to the bathroom, which was in a hallway open to the living area. The second bedroom was en suite and had two twin size beds. I simply change of furniture would have made the master bedroom a proper one. We didn't cook but missed not having a microwave or a kettle for morning coffee; ended up using a very large pot to heat water on the stove. A nice treat was to have a 5-gallon water of bottle w/dispenser for cold water. We had issues with one bedroom A/C for the few nights we were there. We called reception and they do send someone immediately, although no fix seemed to last longer than 1 hour or 2. Finally, it worked well during our last night. It was horribly hot in there without A/C. Keep in mind that the living area does not have air conditioning and it get very hot and unpleasant during summer months. Winter should be fine as temperatures drop a bit in the island. The apartment was well cleaned. There was some tiny roaches. I saw most in the hallway bathroom at night, maybe due to high humidity, and just a few in the kitchen area. They were tiny; nothing that would affect one's stay and quite normal to find a few crawling insects in most properties surrounded by vegetation. I didn't get to use the pools but saw the ground floor pools and they looked very clean to me. The grounds were well maintained. Parking was free and inside the complex.…

Great rooms, friendly staff and close to the beaches and bars makes it a perfect please to spend sometime in las Terrenas. Great kitchen, fridge and spaces , nice swimming pool in the roof for those who wants some tan. As Arnold said: I will be back

I have visited Apartment hotel Caribey again. You can enjoy the Caribbean better in Caribey than anywhere else. These well equipped apartments make your family stay unforgettable.Well-equipped kitchen,fridge,all types of pans etc you might need during yr stay to cook in your own apartment and enjoy in the ample balcony.Or you can eat out, just 30 yards away you can find the PUEBLO DE PESCADORES, a wide array of restaurants and bars.Location of HOTEL CARIBEY is also perfect if you d like to walk or jog along the beach.Superb swimming pool and jacuzzi also inside the complex.24 hour security guards guarantee yr stay will be a pleasant one.Perfect hotel for honeymooner,families with children and also solo travelers

If you're an adventurer...but also love the comodities of home, then this is the place for you! This condo-hotel offers the best of both world since you get to cook anything you wish during your stay and also get to be close to the ocean and nightlife activities for locals and tourists.

Just returned from our amazing stay at this hotel. From the moment of check in I knew I made the right choice . Location is perfect , rooms are clean and very well maintained . We had no issues with anything during our stay. Javier was so friendly and was available to answer any questions I had. Can not wait to return with my whole family in November

I stayed here in Oct 2014. I booked a 1 bedroom apartment for 2 people. The apartment was clean, very big, and available at a great price. It could easily accommodate more than 2 people. Javier and his staff were beyond kind. My friend and I rented a car and happened to knock off the side view mirror on the drive from Cabarete. Javier called around, got rate quotes, and determined that all of the auto shops would charge us way too much. He offered to have a guy from his maintenance staff take us to a local glass/mirror shop for the repair. The mirror only cost us a few bucks. No EXAGGERATION. He didn't have to do that for us. I was more than satisfied with the quality and cleanliness of the accommodation. So much so, I will be returning in May.

I give it a 3.5 rather than a 3. This is a condominium complex converted into a hotel. The suite was enormous. The bedroom was comfortable with a safe in the closet, though the bathroom was a bit funky, with the sink and mirror located outside in the hallway. The refrigerator was handy, but it never really cooled off in the entire suite. The AC did work very well in the bedroom. The biggest pain was not having Wi-Fi in the room. You had to go down to the lobby to get it to work. Management said they were getting it fixed. There is ample parking and a number of decent restaurants and bars within walking distance. Not a bad choice in Las Terrenas.

We were lucky to find a place on such short notice. It was more than we had expected. The staff was excellent made sure we needed nothing. We stayed in a room on the third floor next to the pool. The room was very spacious with a huge living room/dining room. The most wonderful view of the ocean and very clean infinity pool. The location was also very nice with restaurants, ATM's and disco within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay. When we come back to visit Las Terrenas, we will stay at Caribey again.

GREAT place!! Location was perfect as it was right across the street from the beach and a stretch of trendy restaurants. Although we don't speak spanish and the staff don't speak english, we were very impressed with the service. Somehow we managed to get our points across and they were extremely friendly, always smiling, and the cleaners did a great job with the room. The room was very spacious with modern furnishings, bedroom was huge, great kitchenette (VERY much appreciated the water cooler so didn't have to worry about always having bottled water), and the balcony was amazing as it had both a lounge area as well as small dining table with a view of the ocean. Would highly recommend this place to everyone - especially at only $95US/night. No complaints whatsoever. Las Terrenas itself was our favorite place in the Dominican - also stayed at the Gran Bahia Cayacoa in Samana, and in Cabarete at the Agualina Kite Resort.…
