Our visit was with my wife and our son and daughter in law her mother and their 3 kids. Boys ages 11 and 13 and girl 4. Overall very pleasant trip. The facilities were great. Food was OK. It could be the cuisine but it wasn't overwhelming. We had some evening meals in the gourmet restraunts and they were nice....

Secluded resort with beautiful grounds. Were aware from previous reviews that this resort was mainly for families and couples and that was true for our stay. Flew Canjet with Nolitours and arrived in the afternoon with a mass of people. Bus ride from Samana airport took about 1 hour and 10 minutes on the ‘old’ road. Scenery was beautiful but...

We spent 2 weeks at El Portillo -March 15- 29- and had a very relaxing time. I picked this resort as there were no bad reviews on Trip Advisor and I now know why there aren't any. Hopefully there are not any other resorts planning to build along this beautiful unspoiled beach for a long time. It is not Punta...
