We stayed only for one night and enjoyed the stay. this Hotel definitely had seen better days and needs a little more tlc, but it is very pretty, the gardeners definitely put in the hours.
The occupancy is very low only 2 more rooms beside ours were taken. However the owner is very friendly and helpful.

The beach near the hotel is probably the best beach in the country.

Rooms are stark but clean. Good for the price. Internet very slow in room. No glasses of any kind in the room. We only stayed a night but people seemed friendly. Right on the beach but unfortunately it was raining and windy. Got a nice double queen bed on top of reception with pool view. No beach view rooms seemed to be open.

.

Restaurant- did not try but eggs in the morning were well cooked.
Noise level-Pleasantly quiet
Reception-Friendly
Breakfast –Well-presented eggs, toast, cereal and fruit. Good coffee compared to most we had.
Light for reading –Not good, all or nothing
Bed – a bit hard. There is a bed stand too high for the bed and no lamp
Air Conditioning-Good
Wi-Fi-Very slow in room
TV- Good large modern mostly Spanish
Refrigerator-none
Wine glasses-No glasses of any kind, when we asked they gave us some small disposable.
Room for bags-verily one had to be in the only chair in the room
Tea Kettle or coffee maker- No
Bathroom-small no amenities besides soap
Safety Bars-No
Tissues-no
Shower pressure-Fair --
Cloths line-No, there are no hooks or any place to put anything.
Towels-Nice and clean.
Hair dryer-None- the reception has it.
Full length mirror-No
Makeup mirror-No
Self-serve Laundry-No
Iron and ironing board-No

The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. My fiancé and i shared the hotel with another couple and a family of three. I guess is because spring brake is not until next week but that was nice. The hotel is beautiful probably the nicest in that side of town, but it needs lots of things. The beds can use extra padding because i can here the springs when we got up. A mirror in the room will be nice and a fridge. Also music in the common areas. There is absolutely nothing to eat or drink here. Yes breakfast is included and is really good but after that you are on your own. We drove to town and bought ice and dome stuff to eat. The owner lend us a cooler to keep our stuff. The pool is beautiful and clean and the beach is amazing. There are a couple of restaurants in the hotels near by or you can go into town. Rent a scooter, motorbike, or 4 wheeler to get into town, or get in a motoconcho that for 100 pesos they will take you. This is a relaxing place specially for older folks buy i did see lots of young people. If you like to party this is not the area for you unless you go to the other side of the island to do it. I personally liked the hotel for the price. We relaxed during the day at the beach and pool then late afternoon we went into town for drinks and dinner. Yes is true that you only get Wi5 in the lobby but i didn't care for that while i was in vacation.

I was cheated out of my orbitz payment. Staff, took my money despite my proof of online payment to Orbitz. I was told a refund will be issue as soon as possible. I never did get the refund despite talking to the hotel manager and Orbitz.

This hotel has a lovely setting and it looks nice until you look closely. WiFi only sporadically by the desk. No hot water, if you complain their reply is that hot water is solar and to let it run for 15 minutes. That solution doesn’t work (3 nights of icy cold showers). The rooms are never clean or towels changed during your stay. The unsafe and dangerous part is that the showers have neither safety threads or a mat. I am 73 years old and luckily didn’t break a bone or hip. Had numerous contusions to show. Told the owner and front desk, both promised a mat which was never delivered. Contacted Expedia and told them of the problem and even posted photographs of my bruises. I know no one is going to do anything about the problem but if these review gives information to another senior they might think twice about staying there and avoid injury.

First of all this is not a resort but a small hotel with approximately 60 rooms, the grounds are nice and basic, pool is clean and has comfortable lounge chairs, the rooms are open and spacious th bedding is very hard it's basically a thin mattress on a wood base . The bathroom is small and older but everything is super clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful but very basic services. Breakfast is bread eggs fruits and juice coffee and cereal very basic but OK. The restaurant has good food and a basic menu, if you want great food the Atlantis hotel next door has a great beach restaurant. The property faces one of the best beaches in the world, fun to walk on the boardwalk or stroll down the beach. There are surfboards to rent on the beach but currents can be tricky right In front best to swim to the right side of th resort in calmer waters. This hotel is about 10 mins from the downtown of Las Terrenas so if you don't have transportation you are stuck at the hotel with only beach activity and that's it. There are moto taxis you can call or rent a small quad to go around town. You can't beat the price for what you get its the best place to just relax and enjoy some time off will be back soon.

The perfect place to relax and enjoy yourself in a beautiful and peaceful place. They have a beautiful and clean beach. Also the pool is amazing with good size and very clean. Breakfast which is included is tasty and served at a good time in the morning. The rooms are nice and clean but the only concern is that they don't have a fridge in the room and no drinking water. All in all if I return to semana I would most definitely go back to punta bonita.

Love it here. It is so peaceful and serene a great getaway in a beautiful location and my little Koco was welcomed. The grounds are beautifully kept the rooms are simple but very clean and the AC is 💯 as is the hot water. Pool is nice and the beach is beautiful. The family run business is quaint and the price includes breakfast which was a great meal.

The property is nice with great access to the beach, but the facility is old and in need of a major renovation; the doors are old and do not close in a proper way, the safe was broken, the internet only work from outside your room; the TV was good and offers many channels from all over the world.

My boyfriend and I spent a few days at this hotel and we very much enjoyed our stay. The rooms are clean and cozy, staff is super nice and the location is spectacular: right on the beach. Also, there is a great restaurant on the beach just next to the hotel.
