After a 260 mile journey to be met with a warm happy smiling face and a very warm welcome this place has to be a destination everyone can look forward to. From the outset of a short but extremely pleasant stay the staff here were exceptional in accommodating our every need be it at the restaurant table or putting up...

We came here for my mums 40th birthday for afternoon tea. The staff there could not have been nicer if they tried willing to do anything for you. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was brilliant. Lovely place to walk around as well as the views and everything there is amazing to look at.

We spent a couple of nights here recently. Haselbury Mill is in a lovely setting, is quirky but a little "tired looking" in places. However, the delicious meals and friendly, helpful staff make it an ideal base to explore this part of Somerset, especially if you are into walking and visiting National Trust properties. We only planned to have one...

Lovely hotel with great staff and good food, well kept and unusual grounds. When we arrived and were given our room we found it rather small and asked if an upgrade was available but all superior rooms were booked out the lady at reception said she would see what she could do and she managed to find us a larger...

We had a delightful and enjoyable stay at Haselbury Mill last week. We were met at the station by Riichard who drove us to the Mill which has a beautiful setting with vintage cars and interesting advertising ephemera on display in the grounds. Our room in the Coach House was very comfortable and the meals were all excellent as were...

I came to Haselbury Mill for a friend's wedding in the Tithe Barn, which is beautiful, and also stayed overnight. I had a room right at the top of the main house and I loved it. As a single person I prefer to book a double room for single occupancy but often feel that I have been given the smallest...

On the face of it Haselbury Mill looks delightful but unfortunately looks can be very deceiving! Firstly though the barn and room were spotlessly clean which was a great effort considering the tired decor and flagging fixtures and fittings. The food was quite reasonable but the staff looked agitated. ....and after hearing a young member of staff receiving the a...

I called to book a table for the Sunday Carvery at about 10am on the Sunday and was told the earliest that we could be served would be at 2:30 pm, a bit of a stretch but just OK as apparently they were very busy. We arrived just before 2:30 and were shown to a table in the 'reserve' seating...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Often described as “Probably the most beautiful setting in the South West of England” The original buildings date back many centuries and are of great local interest with a history stretching back to the times of William the Conqueror and are reportedly mentioned in the Doomsday Book. Haselbury Mill is truly the ultimate somerset venue to commemorate and celebrate the special days in your life. The three magnificent listed buildings & newly built Tithe Barn provide the focus of this superb conference, restaurant, hotel & wedding facility. The Georgian Mill owner’s house & adjacent cottages have been transformed into a luxuriously appointed 21-bedroom hotel all with High Speed Wi-Fi Internet connection. All rooms are en-suite and are exquisitely appointed to add that little touch of luxury to the beautiful surroundings. The original Mill buildings have been sympathetically converted to a stylish restaurant and underneath can be found a traditional local's bar with flag stone floors and oak panelled walls. The Four storey Granary building nearby encompasses a lakeside bar and restaurant and further function and conference rooms ... more   less
