We stayed at the Last Resort in Manning Park for 2-nights (the minimum booking) in late October ($400/night). Most people who visit Manning Park are probably unaware of the existence of the Last Resort - it is nestled in the trees across the highway from the main lodge. The Last Resort is one of the original park building (it formerly... More

Staying here only really makes sense if you are planning to explore the area, then afaik it is the only game in town unless you count Eastgate - 18 km away. The rooms have the usual two double beds. They have an "older" feel to them and can be cold at night, a good thing during a hot summer. The... More

We had the chalet for a group of 14 mature adults staying there for 2 weekend nights. It was an enjoyable stay for us. The staff are friendly and helpful. The scenery is gorgeous when we traveled up to the Painters' trail. The Spirit Lake loop is an easy and enjoyable hike for us all. After a day's hike, we... More

...for lunch en route between Vancouver and Osoyoos as there were few other convenient options. Little choice of light bites and felt a bit down at heel. Should have taken a packed lunch! We didn't linger.

We spent three nights in a cabin at the resort. Cabins are clean, linens supplied and beds were fine. All equipped with everything you need. A short car drive to the day use area of Lightening Lake..lots of green space & shade. You can rent canoes etc or take your own. No gas or electric motors allowed on the lake.... More

We stopped off here to break up the journey from Kelowna to Vancouver - slightly rustic hotel, and will probably be renovated in the near future but looks like there is work being done to extend their restaurant building. Food in the restaurant is good and reasonably priced. The scenery is to die for, Lightning Lake is wonderful and you... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a lovely time. The hotel is a bit rustic and tired looking but the room was clean and nice. The lake is beautiful and if you kayak under the bridge you feel like you are the only people in the world, stunning! The restaurant is a bit disappointing with very little vegetarian... More

We are a group of eight women who rented one of the big double cabins that sleep twelve people. We have stayed here, as a group, several times before. We were very happy with the spacious and clean accommodation and were pleased with the upgrades in kitchen supplies. The only problem was that the oven was not working properly and... More

Although the deluxe cabin that we rented for the four adults and two small kids was a perfect size for our group, the beds were horrid. All four adults had aching backs or necks both mornings. They also had the nerve on top of the pricey rates for their "deluxe" cabin to want another $100 to use the BBQ out... More

On Valentine’s Day we celebrated our wedding with 65 guests at Manning Park. We had our ceremony at lightning lakes and our reception at Windy Joe’s Hall. Manning is the perfect place for a rustic outdoor wedding while still having the cozy comforts expected. Leanna and her wedding planning crew were nothing short of great throughout the whole process. They... More
