A budget hotel for the budget travelers we were. We regrettably paid for the breakfast option. I do not recommend this. The room however was adequate, for being the cheapest hotel in town (despite being $100 per night). I rate this hotel a 4.5/10.

I have never stayed here but often pop in for their daily $2.50 take away coffee (or tea). Upgrade to a large for just $3.50 its the best value good coffee you will find in Arrowtown. New Orleans also offers FREE WI FI to their clients. There is a great outside deck that gets plenty of sun which is great... More

The Hotel itself has been modernised and was very cosy and comfortable to sit and have a meal and/or a drink. Unfortunately that's where the comfort ended. Our room was very small, there were no bedside tables to put a glass of water on or even a bedside lamp. The bed was comfortable enough I suppose, but overall a bit... More

Had Room 6 initially but the bathroom ceiling leaked during heavy rain. The staff quickly moved me across the courtyard to Rm5. Try to book rooms 1-5 as these are the more modern & better quality. Rooms 6-10 are in need of a refurb as painted block walls should now be gone from NZ motels & hotels. The staff are... More

It is a bad sign when you go into a place that has two different names and three different menus. It's not sure if it's an Irish pub, a hotel restaurant or an Asian restaurant. In their attempt to do all three they fail at any. We went over an hour before a movie and ordered for all the food... More

We decided to have lunch today at the New Orleans. Walked in to a warm cosy dining room and were quickly shown a table. After bringing us water the waitress said she would be back. We never saw her again. The restaurant was not busy. We walked out 30 mins later. We had fantastic service and food at the Postmasters,... More

I stayed 2 nights here as Queenstown was a bit pricey and I couldn't be happier. The check-in was quick, staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious! The fireplace topped it off :) The room I stayed in had everything I needed, even electric blankets on the bed. Very happy with my stay!

I was a bit hesitant about booking here after reading the reviews. Fortunately I did end up booking here and my boyfriend and I were very happy with what we got. Lovely room and a great pub meal for a reasonable price. Couldnt ask for anything better on a cold Winters night! Cheers New Orleans 👍🏼

Although reading a few bad reveiews before booking, my partner and I decided to stay here as the pictures looked good on the website. On arrival we were later than what we had put in on our booking.com booking. Never the less, we were greeted by a warm fire and smiles from the staff. Checked in quickly and shown our... More

Great location. Right in the centre of town. Our room was very cold so asked for another heater and was upgraded to a much better very warm room. Very much appreciated. Staff response excellent. We had dinner at New Orleans. Wonderful open fire to sit by while we waited for our dinner. Great pub atmosphere and delicious meal.
