We had planned on staying in Arrowtown for one night and found Arrowtown Caravan park online, little did we know it would end up being one of our favourite places to stay during our time on NZ South Isalnd! From the moment we first encourted the front desk staff they were so friendly and accomidating, we cannot commend the girls enough! In addition the facilities were always very clean and the shared kitchen was a god-send! The scenery and surrounding mountains are amazing to wake up to or enjoy a cuppa as the sun sets we found it to be very quite and relaxing. We ended up booking another two nights here at the end of our stay because we loved it so much.

Arrowtown holiday park is just a short and inexpensive bus ride from the crazy busy Queenstown strip. Bus stop just outside park entry. Peaceful, generous sites (7 metre motorhome was easy to park) and excellent communal facilities. Mountain scenery in every direction. Well stocked 4 Square mini supermarket is a short walk from park.

Booked a cabin for 3 nights in Nov 22. Walking distance to Arrowtown, a very pretty place, golf course and about 20 minutes to Queenstown, perfect to stay away from the tourists. The grumble that I have is that one of the staff came to me after the second day and told me that I hadn't booked for the 3rd night nor had I paid. I was pretty sure I had so asked her some questions but she was adamant about both the booking and the payment. I had already thrown the receipt out so looked at bank records and was able to prove my payment but she still wanted my credit card again. I said no, showed her the debit out of my a/c but then she wanted a screenshot of the debit. She eventually conceded but it took some convincing on my behalf. Still waiting for an apology. The park is great though!!

The site is overall clean and tidy. We paid $70 for a powered campervan site. Arrived with two young children to find the family bathroom required a deposit (not the end of the world) but hadn’t been cleaned (but strange). Also not amazing value compared with other places stayed along the journey (Tekapo, Mt Cook, Lake Wanaka). A little on the nose to pay $1 for a hot shower and $5 for wifi. All in all not feeling particularly enamoured with the place and unlikely to come back.

Our favourite place to stay. Close to town so a short walk for a coffee or meal. More of a relaxed stay after the turmoil of travel around Queenstown with the amount of road works happening there. Bike and walking tracks are close by and pleasant to use. Bus stop out front, easy to use for trip in to Queenstown or Frankton. As usual everything is clean and is a credit to the team here.

We have been staying as regulars in Arrowtown for approximately 35 Years. We arrived Easter Friday to check in as regulars. There were new Managers who had been there three weeks. There was an error in our booking made by previous management as site numbers had been changed. Very simple to fix just move one of our caravans along one. The new Manager was on the defensive from the beginning and unable to cope with this. She told us from the beginning that she was sick of regulars coming in and thinking they owned the place. She had been telling other customers and us that "This is how it is, if you don't like, leave, just go, You know the way out" Her husband refused to move our caravan for us saying "We would have to move it ourselves". We had been standing like stunned mullets while this woman ranted and raved abut how he had been left with no staff, had to cope with all these problems and was sick of regulars. I ventured to say that her customer service was appalling and she flew into a rage shouting "Get out, Get out, Just Go". When I turned to leave she changed and said in a sarcastic voice. "Bye Bye, See You, Bye. We left and drove home. I sent a letter of complaint to the Directors of the Company that Lease this camp from the Queenstown Lakes District Council and after three weeks received an email saying I had been insensitive to the Manager because she was under stress. They also said that if I made an apology to the Manager I could stay on but if I didn't then I needed to remove my caravan by 1 July. We had already decided that we could not tolerate this treatment. My son and daughter- in -law were allowed to stay on. You can guess what we did. Removed our caravans. I advise if planning to visit to the Arrowtown Holiday Park check to see if the same managers are there and if so move on by. A shame as this is an excellent camp and town. Several other regulars have reported to us that they were treated badly also but not to the extent that we were. Disgusting customer service and people skills by both Managers and the Directors.

I have stayed here previously when we were working on a property locally and rated the experience highly. However this time I would like to thank Viki and staff for being so supportive of Cure Kids and selling the book Lockdown with the Bears as a fund raiser...many thanks folks and keep up the great work providing a lovely clean well set out accommodation option in Arrowtown.

Some of the best facilities in a campground that I've stayed in. Toilet block and showers were modern and clean. Kids liked the playground. Was within easy walking distance to the township and attractions. Campervan sites were partially sealed and a large size.

The bathrooms are what got it above average. The music playing in them is quite a cool touch, the showers were small but nice and clean. The dryer was shockingly bad, we've used enough dryers to be able to say how bad it was, was annoying needing to buy tokens for it aswell. We stayed in a camper van and the dump area was nice and tidy. We left a few minutes after the checkout time and our code had been cancelled, never come across that at a campsite and to be honest it left a bad taste.
