Cosy, very comfortable retreat right on the edge of Arrowtown. Warmth of welcome matched by warm and luxurious interior. Extremely obliging and helpful hostess. Great bathroom with large bath, great shower and under-floor heating. In room mini-bar. Very comfy bed. Breakfast provided on request. Highly recommended.

The breakfast is beyond excellent and the service is so wonderfully unique! Loved our stay! Very close to town and easy to access restaurants that are all good! We could no have asked for anything more! Our family stayed for 3 nights and all of us were happy!

Great location - very short walk to town, great hosts - very nice folks and they shared a common love [with me and themselves] for cycling, great breakfast - as good as any of the best in town, great room - room #59 had a washer and dryer! - however the bed was rather firm, which diminished the quality of... This B&B is located near the "centre" of Arrowtown. And it is a good place to stay: Our rooms was large and quiet, with an own small garden. And in the accomodation we were offered assistance with nearly any possible activity we wanted to do... - if you want to go hiking, they have walcking sticks and even backpacks availabe.... More

This is a 5 room boutique hotel that has great service with a personal touch. Jeanette and Steve have been in the business for 30 years and they cater to whatever you might need from making dinner reservations in Arrowtown for you or reservations for activities, they even helped us fill up our car. The food is wonderful and the... More

Arrowtown is a lovely remote location away from busy Queenstown down the road. There are several good restaurants and nice little shops. The hotel has more of a B&B feel to it than a hotel. Our room was really very comfortable - excellent bed, good bed linen, good shower. We also enjoyed a good breakfast. All in all, very good... More

This was the last B&B we stayed in on our 3 week adventure of New Zealand. It really was the best! Steve and Jeanette have a beautiful home where they serve a gourmet breakfast. It was an impressive offering that changed daily. Most of the rooms were located in a separate building. Our room was on the second floor and... More

This was my third visit to the property so it clearly suits my needs ! If you are looking for a high end luxury location to base yourself in to take in all the attractions of the "Queenstown Area" with an elliptical trip to Milford and or Doubtful this would be a very serious contender for a run of five... Stayed here four nights. The room was excellent, clean and nicely furnished as well as the common areas such as the main dining room / lounge. The attentiveness and service from the owners Steve and Jeanette was superb. They will go out of their way to make your overall experience great including helping with activity bookings, advice etc. Lots of... More

I can't remember if this was a recommendation or booked by our travel agent but I would give this a 5 star rating myself. The downstairs room was glorious with an outside area for sitting out with a glass of wine and canapés, beautifully served by Jeannette at 6 pm on the dot. Breakfast choice almost like a menu from... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Winners "Worlds Best Award", Winners NZ Tourism Award. Voted #3 New Zealand Hotel for Romance. A memorable visit guaranteed. When you think about it, many Queenstown Hotels are quite similar. Location differentiates them. Consider then the many advantages of staying in Queenstown's historic precinct of Arrowtown - one of NZ's most charming neighbourhoods Globally, the historic precincts of cities are recognized as desirable hotel locations. Why? Well, as cities heave & grow to the horizon becoming homogeneous in the process, the historic precincts become more attractive for the character & charm they retain. Authentic, relaxing & peaceful describe the ambiance. Established following the discovery of gold 150 years ago, today you'll discover a sophisticated neighbourhood reflecting echoes of the past. If you are interested in New Zealand's history & distinctive culture, you will discover it here.....not in New Zealand's cities. New Zealand is unique in that the best luxury accommodation is not found in chain hotels. Are you looking for somewhere special for your vacation? Are you passionate about fine cuisine? This precinct promises you a mecca of unforgettable dining experiences including 'Saffron' restaurant rated in the 'Worlds Top 100' by Conde Nast Traveller & Amisfield Bistro voted 2014 New Zealand Winery Restaurant of the Year. You'll be seduced by the quiet neighbourhood charm. Discover cobblestone lanes leading you to explore galleries, fashion, brew-pubs, tapas bars, cafes, groovy bars & an art-house cinema. All only 2-min walk. Dining is so much more enjoyable when you don't have to drive. True luxury is a state of relaxation. We're sure you'll agree as you stroll home under the moonlight. Country atmosphere | City convenience. A perfect balance. At hub of 100 km Queenstown Trail - Nga Haerenga, the NZ Cycle-Hike Trail, meandering lakeside to artist's studios & vineyards. Trail rides & road cycling tours arranged. Bike hire available. Accommodation is luxury. Outstanding South Pacific cuisine is a feature. Chef-Owner Jeanette Brough is the winner of the 2013 NZ Vegetarian Dish Challenge ...... "superb & done with panache, this place is a treasure". Food & Wine Editor, NZ Life & Leisure. Only 15 minutes from downtown-Queenstown, but a world removed. As you relax & wind down in comfort we will not be surprised to hear you comment that the attractions of downtown are not so attractive! When you learn that 21,000 vehicles traverse Queenstown's main street daily, you'll be convinced to linger. We have thought of everything you need and added some special treats to ensure your ultimate vacation. Arrowtown House has only six guestrooms. Book now to avoid disappointment A wonderful location, stylish accommodation & innovative cuisine await you. 7-min to entrance Coronet Peak Ski Resort, 7-min to Onsen Japanese outdoor hot pools, 3-min to The Hills Golf Course - Home of NZ Open, 3-min to Millbrook Golf Course, 10-min to AJ Hackett Bungy, 10-min to Gibbston Valley Central Otago Wineries, 10-min to Rabbit Ranch Bike Resort, 10-min Shotover Jet & whitewater rafting. ... more   less
