#2 of 3 Specialty lodging in Panna Tiger Reserve
Thorough nature enthusiasts and avid travelers Diana & Salil always found their way to explore a new wildlife reserve. A long cherished dream was to live in the jungle away from the city-life where they could be at sync with nature. What started out as a dream was fueled by passion and thus Bear Valley Camp was conceptualized. Their constant endeavor is to spread the word on conservation while at the same time give the not so fortunate city dwellers a glimpse into the Wild Side. A jungle camping site like no other, experience the sites and sounds of the jungle in the true sense, the unpolluted night sky and the owls hoots for company. Each of our carefully designed tents are built on their own platform which also includes a Fireplace + BBQ Grill, a special emphasis is placed upon privacy, the front of the tent has a wide open porch where one can spend quiet evenings or stargaze at night. The machan offers our guests a unique and vantage point over the sights around the camp and if one is lucky also sight some animals. Our recent addition is a roof-top restaurant, where one is at par with the treetops around and is excellent from both a dining as well as a birding experience. We offer personalized and curated experiences each providing an unique experience.

Who thought of having an excellent hospitality in between the jungle with wild animals and perfect place to stay , Salil bring down this unrealistic thought came true for the adventure lovers close to nature's proximity . The experience was at par which can never match .Stay was just good like home where you can relax and have close look to the sky and the stars away from the hustle and bustle of life and pollution . meeting Diana was another worth experience who took care of the stay where Salil was busy with night safari arrangements which was icing on the cake . Thanks for this wonderful and surreal experience we had .

Visiting Bear Valley Camp at Panna was an amazing and unforgettable experience. The location of the camp is right into buffers of Panna reserve, camp is absolutely neat and clean, food is mouthwatering and all the staff is very humble and always on their tows to serve their guests. We were very fortunate to have Salil Dalvi as our guide who is also the owner of the camp. Salil is true nature enthusiast, he not only knows each and every bit of animals, birds, flora and fauna of the jungle but keeps on sharing his experiences and interesting information all the time which is awesome. Our enriching experience includes evening safari (about a 45 min thrilling jungle ride) to a plateau called Chahrai, specially arranged river side lunch, camp fire and barbeque, walking jungle safari, special bundelkhandi food, absolutely thrilling night safari, the list just goes on and on. I urge all nature lovers to visit Bear Valley Camp at Panna once and I am sure you will be amazed to see what all things this place can offer. Thank you so very much Salil and Bear Valley Camp for turning our visit in to an experience, the memories would stay with us forever !! Regards, Alok Kulkarni, Pune (9923755144)

Bear valley camp is a fantastic option for solo travellers visiting Panna. Me being a solo traveller found their regular tented accomodation to be too expensive so they put out a special smaller tent for me for very reasonable charges. The location of the camp is fantastic for birdwatchers. I had spotted 14 different species from the camp itself and total of 29 species around the camp, including the rare Egyptian vulture. The hosts are extremely friendly local people who are well aware of the history and terrain of the place, and they guided me very expertly during my spotting trips. Also fact that we spotted a sloth bear 100m from the camp speaks volumes about how fantastic the location of the camp is. I would totally recommend this place and plan to revisit it very soon.

Thank you Avik for this delightful review. Working and designing experiences is what we love doing best and it certainly got us elated that we were able to fulfill your desire of sighting the Egyptian Vulture, the Bear of course was the cherry on top. Thanks a lot for your kind words and we wish to see you again!

We had an amazing time at the Bear Valley Camp. The camp is nestled on the brink of the jungle, fully in connection with nature. Salil and the family have welcomed us warmly to their second home and made it feel like ours. They took us several times in the forest to show us the gorgeous nature and landscapes, and we tried to spot wild animals. If you are looking for a revitalising break from city life, this is the place to go !

So this has been long due! Bear Valley Camp is built by Nature Enthusiasts. And it shows-THAT is the uniqueness of this place. From the lodging,to the amazingly curated experiences that Salil & Diana offer to guests,it's not a regular trip in a hotel away from home. They bring HOME to you right in the middle of the Jungle. The days are serene, a far cry from the city life we are subject to. You can trace animal prints, hear their calls and the staff helps you comprehend all this in case you are a newbie like me. We did the morning trails, all the safaris and apart from spotting those in the wild, got a chance to be one with them. As if the wilderness doesn’t bewilder you enough outside, the camp is a bigger adventure in itself. The food is from the local produce, furry visitors may pay you a visit as you devour your tastebud shattering homely meals by your tent’s barbecue/campfire. Oh did I miss... the tent is so comfortable and the care you get here makes you one with not just the people at the camp, but with the camp and the nature. Need I say more..it would be unfair! Get up and get going guys. A must visit place and even if u got no time to make a plan, don’t fret. All falls in place when you visit the Bear Valley Camp..! :)
