We got a motel room right up the back. He calls them Modern Glendales. It was clean, tidy and very quiet. The bed was a bit old but comfy enough after a long days drive. There was no iron or ironing board in our room. May have to ask for one. We had our own travel iron anyway. We had...

We stayed in the older front cabin rooms just behind the service centre on route to Katherine. The room was overpriced at $110 , with a curt demand for another $10 deposit for key in cash only. On entering, the room was stinking hot, but giving them credit, the old noisy air conditioner did eventually cool down the room. After getting...

Pulled in here after a six hour drive around 3.00 pm and the place was very quiet so we had the pick of the powered sites, by 5.00 pm the place was filling rapidly with camper vans so be aware it is popular and well worth the $30 fee. the restaurant does good meals and drinks at the bar, a...

We stopped here twice on our way to and from Uluru. The staff were very friendly and were working hard to keep the place clean while we were there. The sausage rolls are GREAT and the coffee was wonderful too. If you're considering stopping just to fuel up and do lunch, don't hesitate! The amenities were clean as well and...

i have stayed at Threeways several times over the last couple of years and pretty much the same each time. Good pub style food and comfortable rooms. clean sheets on the beds but room full of mozzies, floor dirty and light fittings full of bugs. Just small things which would make the place a destination rather than a "have to...

Travelling solo from Darwin to Cairns in my little Toyota Yaris, with no cruise control and just getting over a broken ankle meant short driving sessions. I stayed in one of the new cabins at the rear, really nice with little truck noise. Ate at the roadhouse, can recommend the barra (9/10). My only complaint, there are obviously a lot...

This roadhouse is just 25 km's from Tennant Creek but is a great option for a stopover, I think it's better than going into Tennant Creek I usually stay here unless they are booked out! With everything here you need including a restaurant and bar with a pool table for a bit of fun, this place has character for sure,...
