We stayed here for 1 night- beautifully appointed room, very comfy bed. It was great staying on the edge of the gorge. The pool area was lovely, and the restaurant excellent, with great wines and service. The only drawback was the lack of internet in the room, "we are in the outback".
We stayed here a second time on one of our journeys to the NT. Again it was excellent..after having some confusion with the booking system and staff changes. The accommodation is just fantastic and the food at both dinner and breakfast excellent
We stayed at the lodge for two special days. The rooms were spacious and beautifully equipped with super comfy beds and amazing bathroom. The pool area was perfect and we were there for mist of the day on our own. The restaurant was first class with amazing food, great wines and outstanding service from the wonderful staff. A must stay when visiting Nitmiluk.
We stayed here as a base to experience the Gorge. It is inside the park which is a unique and special location. Food was incredible, accomodation was great. Staff were attentive and the wildlife around the lodge was impressive. Highly recommend.
Absolutely lovely! We spent 2 nights here and it was the perfect escape from the disappointing hotels that we had stayed in both in Darwin and Broome. Our room was clean and spacious and the balcony was very private and fronted on to the surrounding bush. We were even entertained by two tiny Agile Wallabies as we sipped our sunset drink. During our stay, had two dinners and two breakfasts in the restaurant and both the service and food were excellent. All the staff were helpful and friendly and the entire lodge was well maintained and spotless. Thoroughly recommended.
Wonderful location and amenities. Rooms are very comfortable, large and well appointed. The lodge is very quiet and the pool is refreshing. The meals are delicious with great attention to detail. Staff are very friendly and obligingly, nothing is too much trouble. The lodge had to be evacuated, not a major issue, the staff were very professional and took their duty of care very seriously. Alternative arrangements for a meal were made very quickly and staff ensured a swift return to the lodge once the matter was remediated.
Stayed 3 nights with the wife. I was a bit dubious at first as there seemed to be a lot of negative reviews of the place, but I think that was probably mainly due to covid. I have no such complaints. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The pool was refreshing. They put on a couple of free drinks each night which I though was pretty cool. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. I think it lived up to the stars it has been awarded. My only negative point is the cost of dinner. I personally cannot see the justification in it being that price. However remote it is. But I am sure if I get a reply to this review, it will no doubt be explained then. I really would recommend this place for a few nights. But book early, it is popular.
Wow. Our whole coach party was impressed with this resort and wanted to stay longer. It was modern, spacious, comfortable. We only ate breakfast there but it was very high quality. We would have liked to try more of their cuisine but we ate aboard a brilliant l2 gorge dinner cruise’.
Cicada Lodge was out destination for two nights as we explored Nitmiluk. We arrived in a little late from Tennant Creek & to say ‘strung out from the road’ would be an understatement. Matt greeted us & tapped in pretty quickly to our mood…what a terrific guy - settled us in for a drink as we’d already had dinner, then made sure we were all set with our room - which was beautiful. The next morning Tyler was on for breakfast & it was fantastic. Later, pre-dinner drinks with new friends & a fabulous dinner & our only thought was we should have been staying longer. An absolute oasis in the NT & cannot speak highly enough.
We stayed here as part of a small group luxury APT tour. Cicada Lodge is somewhat of an oasis in the outback of The Kimberley. A limited number of rooms (around 16 or so) provides an intimate setting, pool and lovely dining area. Beautiful canapés with evening drinks was a nice touch. The evening meal was excellent. A few items need to be tidied up however for the Lodge to be truely a luxury destination. Our room had limited lighting. By that I mean there was no bedside lighting or reading lighting and no easily accessible power points for phones and the like adjacent the beds. And the breakfast offering was extremely poor. We had platters of muffins cut in half, croissants and toast with a fruit platter alternative. All carbs and no protein offering was not what we expected.
