We have stayed in Riu hotels many times and this one was up there with the best. Very clean, more modern design than the traditionally colonial style of Mexico. Good selection of pools, never had problems getting a sunbed. Having visited the pool area of the neighbouring Riu Guanacaste ours was more quiet and leisurely. Loved the room, the Jacuzzi...

The hotel was good, except in the middle of nowhere.Nothing really to do unless you went on organised trips, or hired a car. The staff are excellent, polite, and first class service. The food lacked choice, & was Luke warm to cold, plus not replenished. How ever the Krystal & steak house specialty restaurants were good. Plenty of sun beds, no need...

My opinion having traveled extensively to the Caribbean, Central America and Europe is that this Hotel is your best bet on the Pacific side of the Country. The beaches are not at all like the Caribbean, but naturally beautiful in their own rite. Very hot, and dry in April (great hair days) but with a nice little breeze. Plenty of...

We've been to Costa Rica before the all-inclusive resorts were built so were curious to see how a stay there would be... We were not at all disappointed! The Riu Palace was absolutely beautiful! The rooms were perfect, large and attractive, enough space for clothing, very comfortable bed, the shower was wonderful (double shower heads) and the toilet separate with...

RIU Palace is not quite the resort for a peaceful holiday by the pool, listening to cool music, reading, sun bathing or just hanging out and enjoying family time, it just lacks the 'chic' and 'cool' vibe that sitting in +30 degrees sipping on cocktails and watching the world go by should bring...however, if your kind of holiday is to...

All-inclusive was nice. Food was good, better than I've had at other Riu resorts. Hotel staff isn't as friendly as other places but they are efficient. Pools are beautiful and very well maintained. Beach is nice but not white sand like the Carribbean. Don't stay here if you want to visit Arenal Volcano Park as it is about 8 hour...

Room: We had an ocean view junior suite with king bed and pull out for 12 year old child. Room was spacious, clean, all facilities in good working order (including a toilet that flushed propoerly), a stocked mini bar, AC, balcony, and spacious shower and whirlpool in the room. Cleaning service daily that did a great job and stocked all...

My wife and I just spent a glamorous week here for our honeymoon. The staff was so nice. Thankfully they spoke the native languages and English very well. The guys at the swim up bar were amazing. They had a blast at what they did and they were never slow at getting you a refill. The food was spectacular. From...

From the moment you got off the coach you could tell you were about to have a week of luxury! Room spot on jacuzzi bath, optics and fully stocked mini bar. Good selection of restaurants and different foods, something for everyone though the Italian was my favourite. Pools clean, good wifi. The staff were very pleasant and happy to help...
