My husband and I have nothing but lovely words for this place. My parents live in the village, and it is a pub I love to visit whenever we come 'home'. The service and atmosphere is really friendly and welcoming, with Cav the owner being a avid community leader, engaging the locals with fun evenings like pub quizzes, cricket events,... More

We visited for dinner with our children whilst staying at the nearby Batcombe Vale campsite (which is also excellent by the way!). Great choice of beer, including one from the Wild Beer Co, just up the road is Westcombe. We all had fish and chips which was served quickly and in good sized portions. Lovely setting and atmosphere inside. Will... More

We were driving from Cornwall to Oxford and were looking for a pub to have lunch. Not many on that particular road we were on. We saw the Horseshoes sign and decided to find it, which meant leaving the main road…..it took ages to find it…probably our fault , but the result was such a surprise. The welcome was so... More

A trip to the Three Horseshoes for a fathers day family lunch followed by a spot of afternoon cricket. Seemed a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon! And it was... A small menu (But I do prefer to see a small menu 'home made', rather than pages and pages of Brakes Brothers finest!) but plenty to choose from for... More

We visited the three horseshoes inn whilst staying at Batcombe vale campsite. We took a wonderful walk through the fields to this little gem. The staff were lovely and we were shown the toy box as we had our 2 year old son with us. We quickly ordered dinner and were so thrilled when the food arrived. It was fantastic.... More

Stayed over the bank holiday weekend. The pub was packed (usually a good sign) and yet had a nice, chilled out atmosphere. The guys running it made us feel very welcome and served up a great breakfast each morning. Also had the Sunday roast sat out in the beer garden - again very good. We will be going back. Batcombe... We booked on a friends recommendation and were glad we did. It was a Monday evening when most restaurants don't open but we were welcomed by warm staff and received excellent service. The food was top notch fine local ingredients cooked to perfection. It may take some finding, but well worth a visit.

Visited on a Sunday, not having booked. They kindly managed to fit us in and I'm glad they did. The meal was excellent and the service superb, a very enjoyable experience and we shall definitely return

Just thought I would leave couple of observations after last nights visit to the Three Horseshoes. I did check out this site before deciding on selecting this establishment for our evening meal. The menu although in my opinion slightly limited is of good quality and the food nicely presented. As in a previous comment one of the deserts was off,... More
