It was my birthday weekend and I needed a place not too far from Nairobi where I could unwind and chill. I had read reviews of Jangwani camp and on seeing pictures of the waterfalls I immediately fell in love. I called and booked the luxury tent and when I arrived, was met by warm staff, including Anne the manager who was waiting with a van to drive us down to the camp site. I was in awe at how clean the setup for the campers is, and was amazed when I got to the luxury tent which has a queen bed and own bathroom with warm shower, and a TV which we didn’t watch, the sight of the waterfalls outside the window and balcony are more than enough distraction. I did not take part in water rafting or other activities, it was a chill weekend. But I enjoyed the exclusivity of the tent, the food and service was amazing (full board for us). The campers can get quite noisy into the night and it only got quiet around 4am. We slept through most of it though. If you’re looking for a nice getaway from Nairobi, I recommend it, but if you’re looking for a peace and quiet kind of place, this may work only if campers are few and not very noisy. In my opinion, the place is best for families and groups, especially campers. Anne was a great host, and the waiters, security, etc are really good and helpful. Luxury tents are only two so book early, great for solo travelers and couples.

Thank God for hidden gems as this is one of those. There is even a plaque at the entrance reminding you to enjoy the moments, create memories rather than focus on pics for social media. This is an ideal place for backpack campers and also 'room' campers. They currently only have two rooms which are always on high demand. It would be advisable to book the rooms before heading out there. The natural habitat; nature trail; water sports make it a perfect saturday outdoor plan then retreat in the evening to watch the sunset, moon and listening to birds chirping.

If ever you have the possibility to visit Kenya, don’t forget to book at least 7 days at this paradise! You ask me about the quality of any aspect of my stay: it was all perfect. The semipermanent tent units: what would one wish more? The service: adorable, adorable; eye for details, more than friendly, hypercorrect, they largely go beyond the most prestigious lodges in East Africa! Cleanliness: perfect, highest standards. Then the spot: magic! When one arrives at the entrance above the Camp, the overall view is overwhelming. Arriving at the bottom in the Camp, the waterfalls, their sound... impressive, you want to stay there forever. The activities are high quality entertainment, just fantastic; the rafting is guided very, very professionally and Sagana river leads you through the garden of Eden, even when the ride is sometimes challenging... Staff and management: my congratulations. What you put down there is simply extraordinary: I had the time of my life! Bravo, bravo, bravo!

1-hour drive from Nairobi, Jangwani camp is the perfect place to unwind, take it easy and connect with nature. The waterfalls are therapeutic and healing. I get a lot of calmness from water and getting up in the middle of the night and hearing the thunders of the heavily swollen falls when I slept at Jangwani was plain amazing. I slept in luxurious tents with a beautiful view of the falls. The tents are large with all the comforts that I needed. Clean crisp white duvets, white bathrobes, and a great shower. Breakfast was great and very generous portions. After breakfast, we did a 2hours guided walk which was very refreshing. Kuria did everything in his power to make our stay comfortable. Thanks so much and we shall be back
