We really enjoyed our night's stay in this lovely hotel with great views. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location is peaceful and very near Las Medulas gold mines. The owner Isabel is helpful and friendly, and happy to share her local knowledge. She is fluent in Spanish, English and French. The food is delicious and Isabel makes...

Situated in the small village of Orellan this is really nice place to stay.Although there is not much around it is ideally located to visit the Roman mines. There is plenty of parking and the rooms are comfortable and pleasant. There is central heating, which we used in June, as it can be quite cool at night. There is a small bar area...

My first praise is for Isabel, the owner. She welcomed us with such warmth and kindness, and she takes so much care of everybody staying at the hotel. She provides plenty of help and information. The rooms are basics but clean, comfortable and equipped with good bathrooms . Best of all is the food : please do not miss the...

Isabel (the owner) is really lovely and makes you feel right at home from the moment you meet her. She is really knowledgeable about the local area and made sure we found the time for a trip to the gold mines. The rooms are basic but warm and comfortable with good size bathroom and strong shower. The bar is cosy...

A really out of the way location close to the old Roman gold mines. Isabel runs a great hotel/B&B but if you get the chance have dinner here too. She is a great cook and organises a really nice three course meal with wine and coffee for a very sensible price. Highly recommend. Rooms are comfortable and with great views...

We drove from Burgos via Villa Romana La Olmeda (1 hour) and from there to Orellan (2 hours 20). It wasn't difficult to find the hotel as Orellan is small and the hotel well signposted. We were welcomed by Isabel, our host, who had a huge fire burning - a welcome change from the cold outside. Our room was smallish...

Isabel is lovely host at this off the beaten track village. The 8 Rooms are excellent and well equipped but the highlight must be the home cooked food in the dining room which is upstairs in a rebuilt barn with a double roof; the original roof remains but has a further roof built over the top.

Isabel greeted us warmly and showed us to our room indicating it was the best room with a view. Right she was. Then wrote us a detailed map of where to walk to see the Las Medulas site and a cave visit. The food she cooked and served to us was great and authentic to the area and her method...

We stayed in May and as soon as we arrived we were treated wonderfully. We had dinners there every night we stayed and it was fantastic every time - Isabel also made excellent vegetarian food for me, and we had delicious local cheese and wine. She made sure we knew where to go for the best hiking and to see...

Isabel is a fantastic host, made us feel very good and showed us on maps what to see and how to get everywhere. But the, oh the best!, Isabel is a fantastic cook! We ate delicious food (every time I remember how tender and juicy the venison was my mouth starts watering!). Very clean room. Would return.
