Wow! This place is magical. If you can believe it, it's better in real life. The guesthouse is in a remote area and they provide everything you need to rest, relax, enjoy nature, have fun and see the land. Rooms were perfect. We were a group of 5 and had 3 rooms. Each were different and lovely. Comfortable beds, sitting area and small coffee station in larger room. Everything feels very private. Views to (almost) die for. Nice bathrooms. No TVs (yay!). All guests enjoy buffet breakfast and dinner in the main eating area (not included in the room rate but worth it) which is nicely appointed, casual and great for having family time or to meet other guests. We sat with another group one night and it was very fun. Food is delicious. All locally sourced and well made - great taste. There is a wonderful bar area perfect for drinking, card playing, talking, singing, playing twister, whatever. The owner, Johan, is a very special and welcoming person. Very involved in the community, informative of the area including all things nature, wildlife, country. I can honestly say that he made our trip. He guided us on our snowmobiling excursion and made us lunch over an open fire in the snow and it was truly magical. Please note that it is possible (and I recommend it) to rent proper clothing for winter excursions Johan has everything (and I mean everything) you need - boots, jackets, pants, hats, gloves and more. His equipment seems to be top notch and worth the extra spend to have a truly enjoyable time. Highly recommend this wonderful place. You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I stayed at Lapland Guesthouse for 4 nights with our 2 children aged 8 and 5 and we wish we could have stayed longer. The landscapes are stunning, the food delicious, the Viking Cabin where we slept is a masterpiece all to itself and above all Johan and his staff treat everybody like their own family. Though the weather was not always the best, Johan always made sure everyone had the best experience including our 5 year old daughter whom he brought back twice as she was too cold after a while. I would strongly recommend Lapland Guesthouse to anyone seeking an authentic experience in Lapland, away from the crowds. We will return for sure for Johan but also to see the Northern Lights!

Just returned from an amazing 5 nights at this wonderful place. From the second you get there nothing is too much trouble. The relaxed feel to the place was much needed and we instantly felt at ease as soon as we arrived. Its hard to put just how good everything is in writing. I booked this trip for my wife's 40th Birthday and the memories we made will last us forever. Every organised trip and meal in the guesthouse had a really personal touch. We were lucky to see the northern lights on 3 of the 5 nights we stayed. We will especially miss the nights sat in the lounge drinking and talking to Johan who is the perfect host. I could not recommend this place highly enough.

We were 3 adults and 3 children, we stayed for 4 nights and only wish we could have stayed longer!!! I have been travelling the world quite extensively and what matters the most to me is the genuine human generosity of the people I meet. Here you get it all from the entire team, each with their own style. Everyone is making you feel at home. Each member of the team is truly caring and always helpful despite very long working days, and always with a smile or a joke. I can only recommend this place to anyone wishing to experience Lapland in an authentic way with people who really care about nature and about making you discover their beautiful region. The dinner/breakfast house is beautiful (you feel at home!) with some very nice handicrafts for sale. The food is exceptional! Lars who cooked while we were there is super friendly, and an amazing cook! The sauna area and the lounge are both super cozy with the perfect atmosphere after a day in the cold. The rooms are very comfortable and well decorated. But you can have the best facilities in the world, if you don’t have great people to run it, it becomes a place with no spirit. What make this place so unique and special is really the team who runs it, I loved the personality of each of them. Johan, fantastic human being with a big heart and lots of great stories to share, he loves nature and will make everything possible to make you discover this part of Lapland in the best possible way. Eva is discreet and really lovely, she’s always making sure you have what you need. Elias, super friendly, humble and easy-going with a great sense of humor. Jesper, well-hearted, genuine and always helpful. Mia, super kind, and always smiling, with a prefect sense of service. We are back home with stars in the eyes and amazing memories! I loved everything about this place and dream to go back one day!

Hello Laetitia :-)! Glad you made it home without any problems due to the conditions - crazy, crazy world. Wow - I´m blushing reading your comment - I can only say thank you for all the kind words. I´m so happy you enjoyed your stay with us and you are always welcome back. Please give the "crew" our best regards and especially your lovely kids. Could not believel they managed out in the snow for 7 hours snowmobiling and doing the quads without any complaints......give them a hug from me. Until next time we meet - take care and be nice to each other. Looking forward meeting you again and take you out for new adventures. Loved our co-driving back from the Northern Light tour!!! Love to you all

We had an unforgettable week with Johan and his staff. Accommodation and atmosphere were great. Johan really makes you feel at home and does everything possible to let you experience Lapland. We spent 6 days in the guesthouse and enjoyed every minute of it. Each day we had a lovely outdoor lunch. By the way we booked directly (no travel agency involved) without any problem. Pick up from Kittila or Kiruna airport. Good communication with Johan by email.

We had a wonderful stay for 2 nights at the Lapland Guesthouse in the Viking Cabin (one of only a few rooms and cabins). The Cabin was beautiful with lots of character, space and a lovely fire. However what really made the stay memorable was the enthusiasm of the owner and his team with a real love of nature. Bundled up in the Guesthouse very warm gear we ventured forth to see the Northern Lights by snowmobile pulled sled.We caught a glimpse only, but it didn't matter as we sat by the open fire in the snow on reindeer skins drinking Glogg. The next day was a full day of snow-mobiling visiting a reindeer farm and eating lunch again cooked on an open fire in the snow. The evening was rounded off by a private sauna in the wood-fired sauna and sitting out in the open jacuzzi, followed by amazing 5 star local cooking before heading off to our wonderfully comfortable beds. I cannot recommend the place highly enough for an authentic, personal and relaxed Lapland experience. Many thanks.

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Johan, Eva, Elias, and Sofia were so friendly and accommodating, the food was excellent...Eva’s chanterelle soup may be the best soup I’ve ever had! Our dog sledding excursion was second only to the northern lights as THE highlight of our trip!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful guesthouse. We spent 5 days and 6 nights and could have easily stayed another week in this cosy place that feels just like home. Our room was located above the lounge in a cute house, and it was just perfect. The room was big, cosy, clean and well decorated. The lounge itself was also very well decorated, so we couldn't resist going there every night after dinner to chat with Yohan the owner, Yasper the amazing guide, and the other guests while listening to nice music and having some drinks (special detail that I really enjoyed was the candies on the bar :-)). We did every activity the guesthouse offered since we had 5 full days, and we loved each one of them: from the snowmobile to the dog sleighing, we always had fun and came back to the guesthouse with our heads full of amazing souvenirs. Loved also the lunches outdoors or in cabins in front of a fire. We always ended the daytime in the outdoor jaccuzi and the sauna, which was the perfect ending to a perfect day. The food, both for lunch and dinner was delicious, and actually a very nice surprise because we didn't expect to eat such delicious meals. But here again, the Lapland Guesthouse did not disapoint. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse and highly recommend this place if you are looking for a family like place, where you're well taking care of. Special thanks to Yohan, the witty funny owner, as well as his incredible staff, who all went out of their way to make us happy, and make sure we have an incredible time. And, we did.

We stayed here for five nights just as winter was winding down. First off, we were in Sweden for over three weeks and in The Netherlands for another and every dinner we had at the Lapland Guest House was better than any dinner elsewhere. Delicious. I got to drive (?) a dogsled, which was a joy, and a snow machine which also fun. We hot tubbed, had fika daily, relaxed, built a snow fort, and more. The owners are warm, good humored and multi-talented. We will return.

Hello! Many, many thanks for visiting us far up North and we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. You are always welcome back to our small place in the big world. Right now it´s minus 8 degrees and tomorrow we have snowmobiling to the reindeer on the schedule. The nature is so beatuful after the last couple of days of snowing. Our second visit was no lessor than 2 years ago. Each day is a window into how beautiful mother nature is and how important and delicately balanced our planet is. The activities are a key part of the experience, ensuring we all appreciate the importance of our environment. But at the end of the day, what makes this adventure work, are the wonderful people who host your stay. Each moment is a window into life in the north without the mass commercialism in the better known parts of Lapland. This is the true experience that will leave memories with you for a lifetime. Thank you Lapland Guesthouse, we love you :-)
