This place has charm, ambience, beautiful well appointed rooms and fantastic breakfasts. The house is lovely. The rooms have everything you could want. The hostess makes the most amazing breakfasts. There was different cooked food every day. The range of freshly baked bread, muesli, home preserved fruit and jams was stunning. Then place was a short pleasant walk from the...

We stayed in the cottage of the grounds of this B&B. It was beautiful, well furnished and comfortable, with Its own private area with Sun lounges and picnic table. The lounge had beautiful views of the bay. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and Marylin left tasty treats in the cottage for us. For our last day we booked...

We stayed at the cottage for three days over the Christmas holiday . Lee and Marilyn were the perfect hosts! Marilyn came over with a fresh baked Christmas fruit cake that was delicious ! She hosted a traditional Christmas dinner for all us guests away from home. Fantastic!! It was so relaxing, CLEAN, quaint with all her homemade quilts, and...

Where to start? We had seen much of New Zealand on previous trips but never been to the Bay of Islands or Russell. Ounuwhao Harding House and our hosts Marilyn and Lee beat our already high expectations hands down: the house is beautiful, spotless in every respect, surrounded by lovely gardens and feels very welcoming. The breakfasts prepared by Marilyn...

We stayed at Marilyn's beginning of january for a couple of nights. Her house has a unique history, and all the decoration pieces are beautiful and carefully picked. Breakfast is delicious, all homecooked, even the bread. It is definitely a B&B like no other in NZ. We could see that the hosts are working very hard to make their guests'...

My wife and I stopped at OHH in Russell for three nights as part of our NZ trip. We were greeted by Marilyn and Lee and provided with home made cake and hot drinks after our long car journey. We were treated to three very individual and thoughtfully prepared breakfasts at a big happy kitchen table, where we sat with...

Marilyn and Lee made us most welcome in their beautiful home. They provide well for their guests, peaceful pretty gardens, a pleasant guest lounge and comfortable bedrooms. The breakfast is plentiful and stokes you up for the day. Eating at the same table as other guests feels more like a house party than a guest house which is a welcome...

First time in Russell and extremely happy with the accommodation at Ounuwhao Harding House, and will certainly be returning. Amazed at the level of service and the friendliness of Marilyn and Lee. Marilyn's breakfast will not disappoint anyone, and will not leave you hungry. The house is incredible and the history behind it is great to take in, also the...

Just got back from a long weekend in Russell staying at Ounuwhao and feeling so relaxed and refreshed. We stayed in the cottage which was like a home from home with everything you could possibly need. When Marilyn showed us round I just fell in love with the place ... definately my kind of house. Fresh flowers from the garden...

I was invited to attend a corporate mid winter celebration at the Ounuwhao Harding House. What a delight this place is. In every luxurious room are patchwork quilts and decorations galore. Marilyn is the most hospitable hostess and her home made cooking is amazing. The gardens and surroundings are stunning. I thoroughly recommend this bed and breakfast. Its ideal for...
