Our family stayed here over the long the weekend in a tent as well as a family cabin with kitchenette. The facilities were so clean and organised. Kitchen was really well stocked - they even had a blender! We liked the composting and recycling. Kids facilities were fantastic - pool, playground and grassed areas all safe and well maintained. The rooms had everything you’d want, bathrooms were really clean. Honestly the loveliest and most helpful staff made the experience amazing. They noticed we were struggling to get our babies to sleep in the afternoon heat so brought us a fan! Good location and heaps of choice for styles of accommodation. Really happy campers here! Do yourself a favour and stay here.

We stayed here on our visit to Russell - all the staff were very friendly, the whole place was clean and tidy, and we both loved the location right next to a swamp. I went for a walk along the track and saw the signs concerning protecting kiwi, and people here must be doing a great job of predator control and educating dog owners, because we heard kiwis calling fairly regularly through the night. I bought something yummy from the food caravan, the guy running it was friendly and lovely, and the food was great. This is a lovely place to stay.

We were a big group having our annual camping. Campsite is spacious, with outdoor swimming pool, complete kitchen utensils (very generously provided with dishwashing liquid) and clean toilet. The staff are very friendly esp. the owners. There is a kiwi trail for the kids and walking tracks for adults nearby. Its also conveniently located near town so can easily drive if you need something. The serenity of the place is great where you feel closer to nature with all the kiwi birds humming at night time. Its also good that you can see recycling bins and information about reducing carbon footprints and caring for the kiwi birds. Only need to improve is the other toilet (there are x2 main toilets) as can't work out the hot shower by pulling the string. There are instructions though. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to be back again next year.

Great campground for groups , clean facilities and great pool, new owners have done improvements with more to come, the birds are a bit to friendly , had to chase the chicken out of tent a few times. Would definitely stay again. Great base for day trips or just laze by the pool

We stayed in the Bach for 4 nights and the the actual facility bore little resemblance to the online description. Even being Christmas was severely overpriced at $129 a night for not much more than a cabin using communal ablutions with $2 per shower - altho linen provided, and sink with cold water. The tv was a 12 inch screen that had lousy reception and had to be viewed standing up. Next time we'll book a house for similar cost.
