We rocked up to Nelson, no where to stay and everything was fully booked. Passed on the road and found their website. We stayed in the lavender room. Very welcoming on arrival and awesome baking. Just what we needed after our 6 hour journey and battle to find somewhere to stay. Very comfortable and lovely hosts. Thanks for the great...

We stayed here for three nights and very much enjoyed the amazing breakfast menu (really good!), the hot tub, and superb hospitality of Janine and Peter. There are ample opportunities for daytrips by bus or cab, but the surrounding area can be best explored by car.

My husband and I spent a couple of days here and we had a really pleasent stay. The room was lovely, comfortable and quiet, with Linden Leaves body care products, that we appreciated a lot. The breakfast was amazing, with delicious blueberry pancakes made by Peter (he also prepared for me a dairy free version!). We also enjoyed the time...

Ambleside B&B in Nelson got new owners. Peter manages the place, he is a great entertainer, and we had a lot of fun. His wife is more reserved, but very friendly, too. The rooms are not giant size, but very clean and comfortable. Small things count: fresh fruits and cookies from the bakery in the guest lounge are always available,...

Thank you for your lovely review. You have certainly captured Peter's personality. He is the key operator of the B&B and chef extraordinaire. While my work can take me away for much of the time both of us love interacting with guests and we are thrilled that you had a wonderful time. Warm regards Janine

My son (6) and I stayed for one night. Our host was friendly and approachable, showed us the ducks and pukeko in the river at the end of the garden. Our room was perfectly appointed and our bathroom, with tub and seperate shower, was spotless and brimming with Linden Leaves toiletries. Breakfast was just as we wanted, made to order...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights and we left with very fond memories. The room was lovely, warm, nice bathroom, very comfy bed, etc. Breakfast was delicious (the blueberry pancakes in particular are a must). But the hospitality was the best part, and it was absolutely amazing. The hosts were wonderful, and we felt so...

Marvelous, generous, gracious...there aren't enough adjectives to describe the overflowing of hospitality you will receive at Ambleside B&B. Peter and Janine are truly kind and generous people. They graciously allowed my husband to invade their rugby game watching and explain the game to him, LOL. Something he has been trying to understand for awhile. Seriously though, we loved everything; free...

It was a pleasure to host you both and hopefully Mark did not find the rugby rules too confusing. All the best for your travels and a safe return home to Miami. Warm regards Janine and Peter.

We spent 3 fantastic nights at Ambleside, and would highly recommend it. Easily the best b&b we have stayed at in NZ. The B&B itself is comfortable and well set up, but it is the service and hospitality from the hosts, Pete and Janine, that make the stay so memorable and enjoyable. Not only were the breakfasts hearty and absolutely...

Firstly, the B&B itself is lovely - a home away from home! The room was nicely furnished with a super comfy bed too! The spa was a welcome sight after a day walking through Abel Tasmin National Park. Great location, just a quick drive in to the city and easy access to the many sight seeing adventures that await you!...
