We had the most amazing Queens Birthday weekend at Wakefield Quay House. We couldn't fault either the beautiful accommodation or the wonderful hosts. Everything was fabulous - our beautiful room, beautiful breakfasts and extremely helpful advice about what to do while in Nelson. The situation of this beautiful villa would have to be the best in Nelson. We can't wait... More

We went for our 15th Wedding Anny weekend & stayed in the Lighthouse Room. The house is an amazing old character villa, the room was decked out appropriately and felt like you had stepped back in time. The views were to die for and the fabulous wine & nibbles that Woodi put on in the evening were much enjoyed whilst... More

This place is central to everything. We've boated, biked, hiked and dined and it has all been a wonderful experience. Advice on what to do from the Woody the host has not disappointed. She knows every intricacy of this area including produce, food, wine and places to visit. We were grateful of her knowledge and unsurpassed hospitality.....Highly recommend this little... More

We stayed in the beautiful Wakefield Quay for 3 nights. Our room was fabulous with a great view of the harbor. We had a lovely settee and my husband was enthralled watching the comings and goings of the ships. Wifi was included and was fast. Woodi does everything in her power to make your stay the best in New Zealand.... More

We stayed here for two nights for my husbands birthday. The house is an absolutely beautiful villa overlooking the water, and our room was just stunning. What really stands out about this place though are the owners. Woody is just the most amazing, energetic host who goes out of her way to make you feel at home. From the cheese... More

We had the loveliest stay at Wakefield Quay. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very relaxed and welcome by our hosts and continued to be well looked after - the house itself is absolutely gorgeous, Woodi's breakfasts were fresh, local and delicious, the rooms are well equipped and very comfortable - there was nothing else we... We had a lovely stay at Wakefield Quay House. The home is beautiful and and the views can't be beat. Woodi and Johnny are terrific hosts, making sure that our time in Nelson was memorable. This was our only B&B stay while in New Zealand and it was fantastic!

Five star accommodation, Six star experience thanks to our hosts. Magnificent views over Tasman Bay, close to excellent waterfront restaurants. Some stairs to negotiate from street level and to the upstairs bedrooms if mobility is an issue. Lovely cooked breakfast if desired, and of course the 6.00pm wine and nibbles not to be missed.

Woodi welcomed us for two splendid two-day stays either side of a long walk in the Abel Tasman national park. Drinks and nibbles at 6pm were delightful with the other guests, her and Johnny, and breakfast was equally so with lovely fresh ingredients. The larger of the two rooms, with balcony and larger bathroom is worth the extra. We wondered... More

The best B&B we stayed in during our 4-week visit to NZ and very hard to leave. Woodi and Johnny were superb hosts, great conversationalists and highly entertaining. We had the best room in the house with its own private balcony offering panoramic views. There was a good choice of restaurants nearby, though Woodi's excellent breakfasts kept us going for... More
