Wonderful location near to center of town with beautiful rooms and a dining room filled with antiques. Very comfortable bedroom with ensuite bathroom with both bath and shower. Delicious breakfast and lovely views. Only concern was outside steps to the bedrooms were a bit tricky with heavy luggage.

A good location offering peace and quite and but a short pleasant stroll into town. Rooms, I'm sorry to say were disappointing and due to a double booking we at to change rooms half way through our stay which did not help matters. I must say that the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Spent a couple of nights in Nelson earlier this month, staying in the honeymoon suite. Building has been lovingly restored to its former Victorian era by Nick and Jenny the owners but for us it's a little too quirky. 4 poster bed was huge set in the original "gentleman's smoking room" which included a couple of chaise lounges, shower room...

My stay at Warwick House was just lovely. It is so gorgeous to stay somewhere which is not the run-of-the-mill hotel/motel and to almost feel part of the family. Meeting the other guests at breakfast was a delight. Thank you Nick and Jenny for working so hard to produce a wonderfully renovated and historic house.

Stayed here one night after flying in from Auckland ahead of our Great Taste Cycle Trail. Great for a short stay. Friendly owners. Walkable distance to Nelson's restaurant district. Room was small but comfortable with a spacious bathroom all in heritage style. Coffee & tea amenities outside in shared kitchenette. Would come back for one night to experience the house...

Lovely house from the outside and beautiful entrance but room on ground floor incredibly basic - very tired interior, would have liked to make a cup of tea but couldn't - no phone in room to contact reception or owner - and reception locked up and in darkness at 8pm. Asked to settle bill night before - now I know...

Hi Amanda, Sorry you could only stay with us for 1 night. The room you choose is our smallest and most budget option. There is a full kitchenette in the hallway area, plenty of chances to 'make a cup of tea'.. There is a phone available from reception, but generally we have found all clients now carry a mobile phone...

We stayed for one night on a recent touring trip. The house is quite dramatic & the ballroom is really lovely, all has been patiently restored by the current owners. Our room was spacious & interesting & having breakfast in a ballroom was certainly an unusual experience ! The host was very helpful in advising on where to find a...

Amazing house with fascinating history. The owners have lovingly restored it and furnished it with style. The gardens are lovely too. We had access to a kitchenette and were able to sit out on the balcony to enjoy meals. Problems with hot water supply which owners were apologetic about. Lack of kitchen bits and pieces were remedied. Owners very helpful...

Pleased to enjoy largely restored villa - nice room and facilities at reasonable cost in old part of Nelson. Bed comfortable - room cramped with inadequate reading lamps. Bathroom less than luxurious with ancient copper cistern providing minimal flow for a decent flush ! Break fast shared with venerable old world characters on communal table , A boiled egg ,uncooked...

Hello and thank-you for your comments. We are glad you liked your room and that the bed was comfortable. The standard room and size is described in the room information given on the booking site with whom you booked . We have checked the bedside lamps and put in brighter bulbs. Breakfast in the Grand ballroom consists of homemade muesli,...

This beautifully restored house was full of charm and was a delightful place to stay. Nick was a very helpful host and recommended great local walks and places to visit. I only wish we had stayed more nights as there is so much to see in this area. Excellent breakfast and lovely to talk with the other guests.
