Quaint, comfortable, perfect location for walking in Nelson, and excellent cooked to order breakfast each morning. Ray and Jules are charming hosts who go above and beyond in arranging transport, booking dinner reservations, etc.
A very well maintained property in vintage style close to the centre of Nelson, which makes it idea for a wander without the car. A good selection of cooked breakfast in a large breakfast room/lounge.
Collingwood was a fabulous place. We spent two nights there. It's a wonderful historic home with beautiful artworks as well as plans of the house from when it was first built. Ray and Jules were wonderful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautifully made breakfasts ready for when we got up served in the comfortable warm dining room. I thoroughly reccomend this accommodation. Very short walk into the city centre across a lovely bridge over the river but a very quiet place to stay.
We stumbled upon this gorgeous home whilst deciding where to stay in Nelson. What a great choice. Ray made our stay so homely, we were spoilt as the only ones staying after what had been a very busy summer/Easter period. We enjoyed a beautiful fire, very comfy ensuite queen room with a gorgeous sunny veranda and yummy cooked English breakfast. Sad to leave.
the manor is a wonderful place to stay and the owners are even nicer than family. the Collingwood is within walking distance to downtown Nelson and there are stores for any and every need. the breakfasts are locally flavored and custom prepared, the housing is quiet and very nicely appointed. Jules and Ray are wonderful hosts and go out of their way to assist in advising what to see, where to go and what restaurants are neat. their network of guides and other advise is par excellance . we have stayed with them twice and will not hesitate to do it again as soon as we can, Nelson is a fantastic place as well.
