We booked eden lodge at the last minute, and were not disappointed. Motel short distance from town. Great views from motel. Staff friendly and very helpful. Room we had was quite big, bathroom was huge, very comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities. Best night sleep I have had since arriving in new Zealand new years eve.

All the 'Very Good' and 'Excellent' ratings given for Eden Lodge is justified - this Bed and Breakfast is a must for those who crave for a unique and friendly stay at Oamaru. We enjoyed our stay at the lodge and would recommended everyone who are interested in living the classical English home experience to come here and stay for...

We stayed at Eden Lodge for 2 nights and we were delighted with our accommodations and our host Ian Murton. Eden Lodge is a graceful home full of carefully chosen antiques that are tastefully displayed. It is like stepping back into a bygone era but with all of the comforts of 21st century living. Ian is a gracious and thoughtful...

We stayed at Eden Lodge during our recent trip to Oamaru; it had been recommended to us by family and we were not disappointed. The house is fantastic and quirky and Ian was incredibly hospitable. Tea was made available at all times of day and our breakfast was delicious. It is a great location near to the town centre and...

Ian was a friendly host who offered tea & coffee, was happy to share his knowledge and book a table at a restaurant for us. No shampoo was present in the bathroom but was made available on request. The house was very cold and our room smelled musty. We learned the other odour that permeated the house was Kerosine which...

It's clean, comfortable and very friendly, plus it's reasonably priced, what more could you want. Ask, upon arrival, for breakfast at different time, it's no problem. Ask for towels and room to be serviced daily, it' s no problem. The hospitality is second to none. A great place to stay, I certainly had one of the best holidays of my...

We had visited some time ago and were expecting to see a lot of improvements but were disappointed. The host is very welcoming and friendly and always ready with a cup of tea and some advice on where to go and what to see. If you like old houses with plenty of character you will enjoy your stay. However, there...

Just had a fun couple of days in Oamaru (who knew it was such a fun/interesting town - check out the local Steampunk group activities!!!). We were 2 couples and we booked two double rooms with a shared bathroom in this lovely old house, for a very reasonable rate - which included a very nice continental breakfast each morning. You...
