This is an older style motel but well maintained. Double glazing has been added so very quiet for a main road location. The rooms are very dated but tidy and clean. reception staff were very friendly and helpful

An older style motel on the main road. Even so, it is very quiet at night and there was enough room for the four of us. We booked a two bedroom unit with a kitchenette. Our teenagers shared one room and we had the main room which was also combined with a lounge and small functional kitchenette.
Doris, the proprietor, was very helpful with showing us where the local attractions were and provided a map noting the eateries in the area.
The motel is within working distance of all the local attractions.
We had an enjoyable stay there, making our own breakfast the next morning. Doris let us leave the car there that morning whilst we walked into the heart of Steampunk Central.

This was a nice stay. The room was very old school and dated, but not in a bad way. Everything was well maintained, in great condition and worked well. It reminded me of my nana's house. The heated worked really well and hot water from the tap was almost instant. They provided hand soap and shower gel in pumps. The lady at reception was very friendly

Super comfy beds, spacious family room, awesome shower pressure. Plus a clothes washing service, clothes washed and dried for $10. This enabled me as mum to actually feel like I was on holiday. No washing to worry about!
The rooms were clean and excellently presented.
But more than that the owners are absolutely lovely! 100% approachable. Hardworking down to earth kiwis. We will definitely be back!

We had a great stay at the Alpine Motel. The kitchen studio was perfect for our family- couple and a 2yr old. We had everything we needed. It is dated but very spacious and everything was clean. Enjoyed watching the traffic and people go past from the upstairs outdoor bench seats. This is a great reasonable accommodation option and handy to town - we walked down to the Victorian predinct and harbour/wharf.

I want to say a huge thank you to Dorris. I arrived around 4pm looking for a room. Dorris greeted me with a huge friendly smile. Then, because the Alpine motel was fully booked, she immediately jumped on the computer and the phone, calling every place that was showing online availability. After a long drive, I really appreciated this support more than I can say. Dorris went the extra mile for us, even though we were not a paying guest. I'll certainly keep the Alpine in mind for future trips and fully recommend the hospitality.

We only had a one night flying visit stay but we would definitely come back. Our unit was incredibly clean, spacious and very comfortable.
Located on the main thoroughfare it’s easy to find. I was expecting it to be loud with road noise but it wasn’t an issue at all.
Would highly recommend!
