- Stan KHradec Kralove, Czech Republic22 contributionsRomantic New Year's Stay in a Beautiful Chateau HotelAt the beginning of this year we spent for the sixth time a relaxing weekend in this romantic hotel and - just like during all our previous stays - we were again very satisfied with the accommodation, services, personnel as well as wellness. The hotel is a beautiful romantic chateau, completely and carefully reconstructed, and thus it offers both historic ambience (we definitely recommend a visit to the historic library which is a part of the hotel) and all the conveniences of a modern 4* hotel (the only thing we missed was the coffee and tea facility on the room). The staff is extremely professional, helpful, kind and nothing is a problem. Wellness Zone offers sufficiently large pool with stunning views of the castle gardens and 3 pleasant saunas, everything is clean and well maintained. We can also fully recommend the hotel's cuisine which is tasty and imaginative (only breakfasts could be richer and more diverse). Where do I begin? My same sex partner had tried to book a weekend stay but it was busy with a wedding. So we arrived on the 31st July. I have to praise the receptionist. She was so accommodating, allowed us to leave wellness gear behind the counter and even praised my Slovak. Lunch was wonderful: such a beautiful setting and the attention the main waiter made was excellent. The pea soup was great. Then there was the library tour for which you pay extra: it was a bit like a Harry Potter experience. I loved the enthusiasm of the guide. My partner is Slovakian and he did interpret important points but I think the chateau does need to make its English paper guides more extensive. However, I was very impressed how at the end of the tour the guide took the time to give a resume in English and I appreciate his effort. Then we went to the wellness centre. I loved the receptionist, a lady with dark hair in her fifties. She was so welcoming. The swimming pool is alright and the different saunas good. My only suggestion would be to be able to have a glass of bubbly delivered from the restaurant to the terrace. Criticism: the men’s changing room was ridiculously hot. It needs some fresh air. Would I go back? Definitely. A great afternoon finished by a beer on the terrace. Dakujem.…

The menu lacked main coarse vegetarian dishes except for a salad. One of the waiters was rude. And cappuccino didnt have required amount of milk foam. Not satisfied, was a disappointment. The library was nice though!

Chateau is located in nearby a castle remains in forest. That was actually our target. After nice walk we were looking for a place to dine so Chateau was it. Beautiful place with large park offers variety services. Food was excellent so was the service. Definitely nice restaurant worth visit.

We had our wedding in this place and everything went perfectly. The manager of the hotel Beata is friendly and helpful, the staff is very professional, we had the biggest room with the balcony and it was beautiful, the spa is nice and clean. We hope returning there soon.

Nice hotel, very friendly personnel. Receptionists and dining room staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room is very nice and super clean. I had no view from my window. The hotel is super quiet, its renovated building is beautiful as well as the hotels surroundings. The restaurant is not very vegetarian friendly though. But the restaurant is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. If you would like to visit Topolcany you need a rental car.

Rooms and premises were spacious and very clean, staff was kind and helpful. Tour of the library is something I'd recommend to do. The guide is very engaged and knows all about the library and it's history. Wellness is worth a visit as well. We've tried almost every main in the menu, and everything we've had was excellent. I would have thought ordering a double bed would get me a large bed with a single big blanket, instead there was a bed with two separate mattresses and 2 separate blankets. Would have been better if this was set clear at ordering. As for coffee facilities in the room, have a plain coffee instead of the 3 in one pack would be great as well.
