The restaurant is decorated in a traditional way, very attractive if you want to sense the smell of the ancient times, so well described by Sadoveanu in his homonym novel. We had a good lunch, we tried local cuisine: meatball soup, mushroom with sour cream and polenta, Moldavian sausages with cooked cabbage - all very well prepared and tasty. The... More

We had a great time, as well the food is wonderful. The service was prompt and kind from the side of the waiters. A place to visit for sure, and have a good meal. The atmosphere is out of story, musicians have traditional songs that will give you a great mood. The prices are not high at all.

A place full of history with food that you'll hardly find somewhere else. Unfortunately, it is expensive and the portion size is smaller than you expected. If you are nearby, you can enter here and taste some different food, but I won't come all the way just for this place...

We enjoyed our visit at "Hanul Ancutei". I ate my first "bors" soup, which was very good and my first "poale-n brau" cake, which was pretty good, also. Even if we visit the restaurant in late June, they served elder flower juice (socata), which is a traditional non-alcoholic beverage that we really liked. The restaurant has a band which sings... - traditional food, traditional room, but with all the facilities of modern time - it's a "must experience" and I shall come back - very quiet room with enough space for everything, but the sheets and a little hole in them. - the restaurant is in the high price range, but the food is excellent.

Hanul was a nice place to stop on a long drive across Romania. Located in a historical building, this restaurant serves traditional Romanian food and the employees are dressed in traditional clothing. There was also a band playing traditional music. The menu was large with a lot to choose from. I tried a polenta and mushroom dish that was very... More

We visited this restaurant on a Sunday. It was not very crowded. The place is very nice with very interesting architecture. Originally built in the 18th century part of the old buildings remains. There is a small store outside selling some nice crafts. Inside there is also a store selling crafts and preserves. The waitresses wear the traditional Moldovan dress... More

very nice place to eat, unfortunatelly it's location is not very attractive, in the middle of nowhere. Nice and warm rooms, very good food and atmosphere. quite close to Targu Neamt where you can visit a couple of interesting locations
